The Leafs need Ritchie to ride shotgun for Marner and Matthews. You can't have your star players getting rag dolled or punched in the face all of the time. Ritchie could neutralize this tactic. He can also play a robust checking game and go to the dirty area's. Time for Dubas to correct a flaw on the first line. Although Hyman could dig out the puck and make plays along the boards, he couldn't protect the two top scorers on the team. Time to get this fixed. |

Ondrej Kase, signed 1x$1.25M by TOR, was shaping up to be an excellent two-way scorer when he got hit by awful injury problems. Low-risk move by the Leafs with a lot of upside if he can get/stay healthy. #LeafsForever

That's a pretty good comparison. He's a bit bigger than Ennis, but plays similarly - I'd say Kase is faster and Ennis was better on his edges?
I agree with RJ as well - he is just constantly injured, so it comes with risk. |
