I think it's absurd but they are entitled to do it.
I could not stand Tony's twitter activity because it was a huge distraction and there is no reason for it. Just do your (frank)ing job and shut the (frank) up. - JRR1285
Yeah it's almost like all athletes and actors/entertainers should just STFU and do their jobs...

I agree. I think Zib signs for 8.5 He sees the future potential of this roster, and he's a great team guy, and I don't think he wants to go anywhere else. Landeskog just signed for 7M.
Besides, what other team would be able to pay him that much, unless he goes to a bottom feeder. And if there is a serious injury in the future, LTIR |

I think fans worry way more about the cap then the teams do lol. Seems like there is always a way. TB has figured it out and it really only cost them role players. Good ones, but no superstars
rangers will figure it out if they end up with Eichel and keep Zib. Buffalo retaining money would be very attractive to the rangers, it would certainly help it get done. And at the same time calm the fans haha |

As much as I want nothing to do with Eichel, Buffalo could afford to retain some salary. They only have about $800,000 in dead cap hit and have $30M in space. |

Something seems off about paying an elite player while he plays against your team for the next 5 years. He is also only 24 years old. Would be fun to make retention have some stipulations regarding player age and contract level. |

That's the thing ... if they want a certain return for a player who they signed to a huge contract they should play ball on the money side. |

They could, but they'd be stupid to do it. If Adams caves and takes much less than he was initially asking for he should be fired immediately.
Everyone said Sakic was going to get peanuts for Duchene when he was holding firm on his ask and that trade worked out unbelievably for them. |

The injury paperwork/doctor reports that teams can’t see is going to drag this out. Doesn’t he realize that NO ONE will dive into getting him unless they’re 100% certain he’s healthy. Like is he grade school still to not give teams the low down? Give teams access to whatever records you doofus! |

That part I agree with.
But taking back some half-assed package because you felt the pressure and caved is a fireable offense, in my book. He's asking for the moon and he should be. If not, Jacky can put on his big boy pants and honor the contract he signed with the Sabres until they can work out a deal to move him. |

Does Perry owe Tampa money? Isn't that the only way they fit any contract under the cap? |
