and I'd feel the same way regardless if there was a Ranger on twitter CONSTANTLY who never shut up about liberal crap
OMFG, shut up and play hockey
if Tony watched video of himself with all the hours he spent tweeting he wouldn't be such a disaster in his own zone - jimbro83
forget about what the topic of his tweets were (although i wont stand for the covid minimizing/conspiracy theory crap) he was fighting with fans.. on the internet... as a representative of the team |

Truth. I mean, if you are going to do that, his time would have been much better spent tweeting at porn starts like MDZ ;-)
These guys have to watch their social media presence. Better to be an ahole in disguise instead of tweeting your aholishness for the whole world to see.

I’m keeping my prediction of a 3 way trade where the rangers don’t get eichel but do get a center upgrade. Hopefully it’s someone we all agree we like - Slimtj100

to be fair to Tony, if there was hockey in the fall of 2020, he wouldn't have had time to became an absolute nut and try to arrange fighting fans outside MSG if there were actually games going on
free time killed him |

I would pay Mika over Eichel as well. The problem lies is that the Rangers don't have the room for two $9-10 million centers, so an Eichel acquisition probably means no Mika. And then are you really solving the problem. So, you need to either find a good second line center who is on a middle class contract for a couple of more years, which may not be easy to find (and would cost a lot).
What other guys could possibly fit that profile? Not sure. - Pete V
I think I am in the minority. Zib is going to be 29 this year and has a history of concussion issues. I like the player but giving him 10 million a year over 7 years does worry me some |

Rangers have to learn to embrace LTIR the way Tampa and Chicago have done. |

Several people have cancelled season tickets. I know of one sponsor ( a law firm) that pulled their tv ad, their intermission scoreboard ads, 6 sets of season tickets and their luxury box because they won't support the team while he's on it.
Maybe a bit silly, but that's a big chunk of change that you've been reliably getting for a decade that's now gone.

No doubt that there is a pretty good chance that you are disappointed in the last couple of years of that contract. The hope is that after going through a significant rebuild that you have to try to win something within the next 5 years and do what gives you the best chance of doing that.

I arranged to fight Tony D outside of Madison Square Garden, but something came up and I couldn't make it.

That's part of my point. I think his age and concussion history prevent him from getting a $10M contract. That would make him a value signing for the production you get out of him. Not to mention he's a good team mate, unlike certain other options. |

to me its just as silly as conservatives suddenly thinking Goodfellas isn't a great movie anymore because Deniro became a liberal hack
if you love the Hurricanes don't deprive yourself of something you love over this, it's absurd

then someone else will - and the canes (or any team/franchise) won't give a single (frank) about some law firm lost sponsor and a few season tickets.

If you are a conservative and you are going to not watch movies because the liberal views of the actors, you are going to be watching a lot of Mel Gibson movies.

What if he demands it though? Are you trading him? Walking away? It sure would be nice to have an Eichel if that happens haha |

the thing i can't abide is the whole politicization of it. does he have/has he shared his views on certain "political" issues (i use that term loosely because that poops not politics to me even though it's found it's way into political discourse) that people may strongly disagree with? yes. but he didnt get jettisoned from 3 teams in 5 years because of that. he was cast aside for incident after incident in games, after games, and in practice with teammates, opponents, coaching staff, and refs.
if you consider yourself "conservative" don't let this bumhole be a martyr for you because he's just that, an bumhole. Just because he plays for your political team doesn't mean you have to die on the ADA hill. |
