Zibanejad was 19 years old in his first real NHL season and scored 20 points in 42 games (.48 PPG)
He then went on to score 33 points in 69 games at 20 (.48 PPG).
And 46 points in 80 games at 21 (.58 PPG).
Zibanejad continued to score between 37-51 points between ages 22 and 24, and only really became a 1C at age 25 where he scored 74 points in 82 games.
Chytil also played his first real NHL season at 19 years old. He was 21 years old last season, and scored 22 points in 42 games (.52 PPG). Not too far off from where Zibanejad was at age 21.
He's a young kid, and I would bet my middle testicle that he is an absolute beast in 4 years at age 25. - rangerdanger94

I agree, he’s the type of kid we trade and in 3 years say damn, wtf were we thinking
After 200 games, theres just some stuff that leaves you scratching your head. - aecliptic
It’s just the natural development of most players.
Even Buch didn’t really blossom into a legit, consistent top 6 player until last year, where he was also 25 or 26 years old. Or another fan favorite, JT Miller.
I think the most frustrating part of the rangers rebuild is how we can’t seem to pick a young kid that steps into the league and makes an immediate difference like a Matthews, Eichel, Gaudreau, etc but at the end of the day, those are the exceptions, and most kids don’t really enter their prime until the mid 20s.

Kevyn Adams on Eichel - There's no change on the medical side. We continue to have conversations with teams and with Jack. We're in control of this process, we have a player under contract, we don't feel any pressure. #LetsGoBuffalo
I was re-reading articles about Laf that were written before the draft and I’m so hyped to see him this year with a real training camp - rangerdanger94

Or, they can go back to my very very first idea, Tomas Hertl. - aecliptic
I think people are writing off Morgan Barron. I think he was the AHL teams leading scorer and is a center. I can see him being 4C over Rooney (assuming Goodrow ends up being a winger)
