i just don't understand how someone can bash a player relentlessly for years then pooh-pooh a trade that featured a top-15 pick, an nhl player and a second rounder because it doesn't meet some jilted expectations

Never expected Florida to be a partner. I love the kid.

Played unreal at the WJC’s. could care less about his size. We have a monster in UPL and now a solid smaller goalie in Levi.

I’m sure if there were better offers on the table KA would have taken it…..

You do seem to plant a lot of unnecessary flags. There was a time where Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterburg were nobodies.

There was also a time where Patrik Stefan was amazing.

Post draft, draft clout should mean nothing.

If a kid shows he deserved to be drafted higher or lower, that should be taken into serious account.

The Sabres have, very (frank)ing recently, shown that maybe, just maybe, they know what they're doing when picking up players.
