I get it it
But it seems to me that many Sabres fans (especially on here) are letting a decade of frustration out in the Jack situation

Not that it really matters one way or another,
but it’s just tiring to continually see ppl going overboard again…. and again…. and again…. etc

I look at this as a business transaction, you can't give up your best asset for less than market value, however that assets agent is making it worse for you to get a full return. He signed a contract and is under it for 5 more seasons. If you want to get moved you better at least play ball in the public eye (which they are not doing)

You have a star player and his agent knowing they have no real option other than to negotiate in the media.

If Jack really wanted that disc replacement surgery he would have taken the Sabres to medical arbitration by now.

He hasn't because he knows he will lose. So this is their way of getting what they want, but what they don't understand Adams isn't going to trade him for pennies on the dollar and Jack and his agent crying to the media isn't helping their cause.

I really hope this last part is true. Get the max you can for him don’t settle.

I don't think Eichel really wants the Sabres to get a boatload for him. If they get ripped off again like with O'Reilly it just extends this incompetent narrative about Sabres management and sort of proves him right for leaving, much the same that O'Reilly was vindicated by the Sabres continuing to suck and he going on to win.

The worst thing for Eichel is if the Sabres go get 2 top prospects who then are competing for a playoff spot earlier than they should be. Then the narrative switches to blaming all the losing on Eichel.

This stuff matters to players. Think how defeating those "we don't need you" chants were to Tavares.

Speaking of ROR, maybe that explains why Eichel is acting this way.

When RoR said I lost my love of hocjey, he was traded at the next opportunity.

Eichel sees that and tries the same thing

This time; GM isn’t a moron and holds out to help the Sabres and himself get better.

Eichel gets mad because it (the process of publicly slamming your team) should have worked by now

Too bad jack sit back and shut the f up.

Adams isn’t screwed at all, he holds all the cards and he’s going to wait. Drury can’t get Eichel for scraps, no GM can. Adams is I total control.
- SABRES 89

You are right that Adams has total control but at the same time Captain Jack, by his own actions can make things difficult forcing a bad trade.

It doesn't matter what we think, true. It also doesn't matter what you think about what we think (not being a d!ck, just saying).

All that matters is that KA doesn't give him away for free, especially after he is CLEARLY attempting to strong-arm his way out of here.

OK a different picture. Thanks. Is that him in the Sabres jersey ? Sort of looks like him, but if you zoom in, the # on the helmet shows a 9 and maybe something else...a 6 ? Isn't 96 Bjork's # ?

There’s another closeup picture of him from yesterday. Doesn’t really matter though, playing a non checking pick up game is a bit different than an NHL game

My favorite part of the statement from the agent: "The process is not working".

Both side agreed upon a contract where your client was compensated for his talent and services handsomely. That contract is being faithfully executed by the Sabres and they are trying to trade your client in an effort to appease him. They believe that is in the best interests of both parties provided they get adequate compensation from the other team. Just because you didn't get what you want, doesn't mean it's not working. There is not a provision in the contract that states Jack has final say in all things.

However, there IS a provision in the contract that allows you to contest the team's choice of treatment and you should use that. If all of that has been done and it hasn't worked out in your clients favor, the process STILL isn't broken because, if you didn't like that you should have negotiated that OUT of the contract PRIOR to signing it.

The process is that Jack is under contract for 5 more years and can exclusively play hockey in the NHL for the Sabres. No one forced him to sign that contract under duress. He did it of his own volition and of sound mind.

The ONLY way this works out for Jack is if he shuts the (frank) up and let's the team work it out. They're not doing ANYTHING wrong if they choose to keep him AND exercise their rights to authorize medical treatment THAT JACK EICHEL AGREED TO.

That's how contracts work folks. Quit being a whiny female dog.

Edit: The org will probably cave if recent history tells us anything, that's why this temper tantrum is happening. But I would LOVE to see KA hold the line.

I'd also love to see the Buffalo fans boo his ass while WEARING a Sabres uniform because of his prima donna poop.

That all sounds great but they're not letting Eichel near the roster. They're trading him.

It's entirely likely that Adams overplayed his hand by insisting the Ducks include Zegras, or the Kings include Byfield, etc.

I'm not saying Adams did anything wrong by trying that tactic, but he may have held the line too long in that regard.

Good points

why would you want your new team to give away good players for you. You need those good young assets to win.

I listened to an interview with the doctor who would perform the surgery,
and he was pretty convincing to me that the surgery Jack wants is the way to go
