The medical situation that is so bad that he’s playing pickup hockey.

And when presented with a direction for this year flatly telling the team no

Yeah the team clearly has culpability here! One ass backwards move after another.

But Jack wanted the C. He got it.
Jack wanted the big deal. He got it.
Jack wanted Disco gone. He got it.
Jack needed a winger. He got it.
Jack needed another winger. He got it.

Yeah, the team has been miss managed for a decade. But jack and his agent put themselves in this position. If they would have kept it behind doors. He’d be gone by now.

Mathieu Perreault has signed a one-year contract with Montreal worth $950,000.
Perreault has spent the past seven seasons with the Winnipeg Jets. In 56 games last year, he supplied nine goals, 19 points, 57 shots and 84 hits.

We could have grabbed him, that's not bad

We all know what's going on this year. So we're all coming to the same conclusions.

Like folks have stated on here previously, herniated discs treat people differently. Just because Jack is able to skate and play shinny doesn't really mean the thing is healed.

Just like Eric Wood's neck, it would be dangerous for him to go through an 82 game season and ideally the playoffs without fixing the disc. But a pick up game is clearly fine.

I don't understand the outrage here.

- TheSabresTaco

Well because of the chance of reinjury if he is feeling better, or if something else happened during that little pick-up game.

Well, if he does anything that is breach of contract there is a remedy available for the Sabres to exercise.

It's not ideal certainly.

But what about this entire situation; from hiring a damn soccer coach to be a head coach to his temper tantrum presser has been ideal?

Hopefully, this is going on with the team's blessing and helps convince people he's on the mend.

Note: This certainly will not have any influence on that team's need to see the actual medical records, but it doesn't hurt to pique some interest.

I think it's the optics.

And it's just one more thing in the ongoing saga of one, John Robert [email protected] mean, Eichel.

yeah, no, yeah.. I get it. Take emotion out of it, it's not a big deal. Clearly we're emotional, fans, players and staff are, I'm certain, over it though.

they need to just pull the trigger soon.. he needs gone. I have a feeling if this drags on he is going to start doing things to hurt the value.

good point. As a professional athlete, you would think he wouldn't do anything to worsen his own health. He knows it's bad for him, bad for the team, and lengthens his stay with Buffalo.

The good news is that the guys we reached out to aren't black holes. Sam Ventura earning a paycheck.

Drafting high upside offense, signing actually useful bottom half players.

Even with the Taylor Hall addition from last season, I like this offseason way more. In the long run, of course.

Adams clearly thinks UPL (mentioned his name like 5x at his presser) is capable of splitting starts with Craig Anderson. After getting that sense, you understand why we are where we are with the goalies.

Dell and Tokarski can hold the fort in Rochester. It's 6KAllDay time.

Obviously if he is feeling better the Sabres would won't it out there, but it doesn't seem that way cause they do know about it. And if he thinks there gonna use as a breach of contract he's crazy, he's a asset.

I have the opposite read on this. Selling now, you're doing so at his lowest point.

I'm with you, the closer this gets to the season, presumably his value goes down.

We may be nearing a point where someone needs to have the straight conversation with him, you need to come in and start the season productively so more teams are in on this.

We have a value for you because you are that good, we know you are. We need to get that value. Help yourself by helping the organization.

Or enjoy blue and gold and appropriate responses to unprofessionalism IF it is displayed.

If he does something that WARRANTS a breach of contract, then they absolutely will use it. But breaching one clause or provision of a contract doesn't mean termination. Usually there are remedies in the contract available to one party when the other doesn't live up to their end.

One of the best personnel decisions ever made with a star was the Eagles with TO.

Everyone around the league knew they weren't messing around after that. That needs to be done here IF WARRANTED.

Not for a violation of a minor clause in the contract, but if there is a steady pattern of public unprofessionalism, this is SO FAR from that, then it needs to be handled.

My original point summarized: If his actions violate a provision of his contract, the club should pursue the means of remedy as laid out by that contract to enforce discipline. This wouldn't void the contract.

Don't think he cares what Buffalo thinks, and it's good he's skating, but doubt they would want him even playing shinny games.

I tend to take the stance that if you misinterpreted, I didn't convey it well.

It's up to the person making the point (me) to be clear. That's why I summarized.

He definitely should care what Buffalo thinks.

Kevyn says you're worth X. If I can't sell you for X, you stay.

If I were Jack, I would most definitely care.

And look at how his "injury" happened. I'm sure it was a ticking bomb, but he was barely bumped in that game.

I bet they're bumping and grinding a little bit on that ice in these pickup games. I just think it's a bit irresponsible, if he's really hurt.

Should just leave it alone, just the more I hear about some things and stuff Eichel has done or is doing just pisses me off.

“ Apparently after a full day of back and forth yesterday between Montreal and Buffalo, Habs have upped their offer for Eichel and are waiting for a clear medical report. A few teams have dropped out of the sweepstakes, notably, Minnesota. Few teams remain. #GoHabsGo ”
