Most top 100 lists haven't been updated since late last year, but going into this year he will definitely be top 100.

if someone had said in june that the sabres would get:

--2021 14th overall pick in this years draft
--another first round pick (in '22 or '23)
--a second round pick
--nhl defenseman
--goalie prospect

for skunk and risto, at the very least lot of eyebrows would have been raised

Yeah, I think it's an awful deal considering what we were all talking about as a potential return a week ago. But that's neither here nor there.

Remember when it was Matthew Tkachuk or pick 5 from Columbus? Or even pick 8 and a prospect from LA?

We got a pick that will most likely be 25-32 and an unpredictable undersized goalie

I think after the high from the risto trade, many expected a little more from skunk

but when you lump them together, it's a descent return

The thing with Reinhart is he's not elite. He's a good player probably looking to make 7-8 million a year. One year at a reasonable salary and then a bad contract. Just no value there.

it's a great return...skunk wasn't getting much more than that unless he was signing an extension...which obviously wasn't in the cards

Tucker Poolman just got a 4 year deal in Vancouver as an AHL d-man. There is clearly a demand for d-men and the market prices are reflecting as such.
