How much cap space do they have? I feel like they have a lot tied up in wingers.
- cburgess

they have too many, a trade will happen. unless Drouin doesn't feel as good as they say

I don’t see anywhere that Haula signed. MB should definitely look into him.

I was thinking KK was bigger than Suzuki and he is taller, but he's actually lighter lol. Yeah I'd make that swap of Caufield and Anderson then.
- apex123

Well I mean, you can just tell the way Suzuki plays that he is ready for everyday prime time. Kk still gives off the rookie vibe to me. Talented player but he needs a lot of help to get established.

Maybe.

I'm honestly having a hard time figuring out lines right now.... camp will be interesting for sure.

- Scabeh

Yea, plus we need to have the full finalized roster before jumping to conclusions.

meh. Haula is a bottom 6 center. they need a top6 center imo.

I’d prefer Haula over Evans on that third line.

I can’t see them trading Anderson gally or toffoli. And they just signed Hoffman. Makes you think drouin is the odd man out.

True, it would allow more trail and error during the season. Plus having more options at center atm wouldn’t hurt.

Maybe especially with Savard and Paquette in the fold, what he can fetch us I don’t know

Ya, but he’s too much money if he’s not gonna be a top 6 winger. He’s not better then caufield Anderson gally Hoffman or toffoli to play there and he won’t help your bottom 6 more then the guys currently there.

I won’t lie it’s definitely a sticky situation, even if they traded JD I doubt they get a decent return for him. Might as well stick with him hope it pans out.

Well he may have some value on bottom 6 to balance the offense, if we can package him to 2C/PMD if that comes around

I think they should give the kid 10-15 games with caufield and Suzuki. If he can’t produce there, he’s never going to. At that point you move on from him.

No Pat, I’m not a classical music or cello enthusiast but I do have a big range of musical taste and pretty much anything can set off the juke-box in my head.

There are definitely too many wingers on that roster and MB did say he was going to keep looking on the trade market for help at C and a puck moving D which is good news, means he acknowledges the need for such a dman. At centre, I don’t know if Poehling is ready for the NHL but even if he is, he is the easy one to send down to Laval as he won’t have to go through waivers to do so. For now at least, the 3rd C is Jake Evans the way I see it and Poehling might prefer a lot of ice in Laval over barely any ice in Mtl.

I really hope Perry is back, his leadership was huge in the playoffs and they’ll need it without Weber. Also, seeing the goalie market and how much good ones cost, I’m glad the Habs found a way to keep their tandem.
