Ritchie from Boston so Pacquette and Perry don't have to do all the heavy lifting.

Possible.

I'm just thinking if we're down to playing Byron at centre, something went wrong.

And I can't drive the #optobus with that kind of thinking in july.

- Scabeh

like you said, starting with Suzuki, kk, Evans and Poehling as a center line.... yish. risky business

But at the same time....

That was always the plan no? To one day end up with these 4 as our centres because all of them panned out?

Or was I the only one at the meeting with Timmins?

I know Fido.

I tried to make lines earlier, that's some very interesting depth on the wing already.

Our success at centre depends on KK/Evans/Poehling improving significantly. Risky stuff for the short term success of the team.

- Scabeh

I don’t think they can go into the season with 3 question marks at centre ice and expect to have success. Especially with the divisions going back to the normal ones.

But I think most expected kk to be a legit #2 at least by now and I don’t think you can say that.

I still want to see KK with Caufield at some point.... I think there's a fit there.
- Scabeh

This is interesting, maybe with Joel?

Not yet no.

Bergevin said it best, we all wish he was there already.... and sometimes you see him show flashes of what could be.

But we need him to be better next year. Significantly.

I think he will be.

Maybe.

I'm honestly having a hard time figuring out lines right now.... camp will be interesting for sure.

It is dicey and I'm hopeful Bergevin is looking for an upgrade, but that said we haven't been this strong on the wings before, so the centers will be insulated to some degree. Let's hope KK can take some leaps forward, he'll be playing with either Toffoli and Hoffman on the left and either Caufield, Gallgher, or Anderson on the right. I think this is probably the first time in over 20 years the Habs can throw around this kind of depth in their top 9.

Bozak maybe an option for 1-2 seasons if we can sign him for $2MM per season

Here's what is like to see as the team is now:
Hoffman-Suzuki-Anderson
Toffoli-KK-Caufield
Byron-Evans-Gallagher
Drouin-Poehling-Armia
Lehk or Paquette take their spot if anyone plays like poop.

Kk and Anderson should be together all the time in my opinion to protect the kid. And Hoffman could be a good fit with those 2 with his legit shot. Suzuki and caufield showed enough that they should stay together.

Doesn't sound too bad. I liked the idea thrown around earlier of Dvorak too.

I was thinking KK was bigger than Suzuki and he is taller, but he's actually lighter lol. Yeah I'd make that swap of Caufield and Anderson then.

How much cap space do they have? I feel like they have a lot tied up in wingers.

Stepan is another option but he is easily $3-$3.5MM per season.

Prolly will trade Lekhonen, Byron, pick for PMD
