The way I am looking at it, Wild got Freddy, we got thier prospect Linderg... Who wouldn't have traded Freddy for a good goalie prospect?!?!?
- Beatnic57

Or you see the Minnesota gave a 2 year 1.2m per deal to a fringe nhler that has cleared waivers 700 times already.

As I suspected, pretty sure Burke isn’t in charge of personnel. Even a little.

I have to share this with you guys:

“I grew up in Pittsburgh and live in Carolina. Love both teams. This is a solid pick up for the Pens. Plays well in multiple roles. Great on the PK. Hard working guy with a great work ethic. Pens fans will love him. Canes fans will miss him.”

“Lived in NC for a few years and started following the Canes as a side team when I was there. McGinn is a steal, nobody works harder and he’s very scrappy. Great addition. He’s not getting enough credit on here”

I’d be more comfortable with $2M/year though..

Well I'm gonna enjoy some more pretty plays from Sid Geno and Letang while they wither off to eventual retirement.

Well you also kept the best goalie duo in the league intact so there’s that.

What is the thought process in keeping Rodrigues and letting Gaudreau walk? Jesus Christ, this can’t be that hard. They Sh!t the bed every time.
- Barnaby36

I'd imagine the second year mattered. Gaudreau looked pretty good, but only in a small sample and could easily have turned back into a pumpkin.

I'd have taken Gaudreau at that number, just saying the 2nd year for a 28 year old who has mostly been a minor leaguer might have mattered to them.

This could be the case, for sure. Anyway, bad choice to not keep him. Good PKer, could handle the puck and had good decision making.

The Penguins have named Nick Pryor as director of amateur scouting.

Pryor will oversee Pittsburgh’s amateur scouting efforts in both North America and Europe. He and his staff will report to assistant general manager Patrik Allvin. https://t.co/0ePBVGZXQZ

I have no idea who this is...

I don't think I'd call any of them good.

Ones I like the best are Landeskog, Grubaur, and McCabe. Suter under 4 was a bit of a surprise even if I don't like the length. Maybe Dzingle for 1.1 as a nice low risk signing that can pay off.
