Nick Foligno to Boston. They definitely bolstered their bottom six. - Rinosaur
I thought it was pretty much done he was going with his bro in Minny... |

Is Legare or Poulin anywhere close to filling in? I think they still need a RW unless Simon is that guy?
Who is the 3rd RD? Rudwheel? Friedman? |

What is the thought process in keeping Rodrigues and letting Gaudreau walk? Jesus Christ, this can’t be that hard. They Sh!t the bed every time. |

Agree. Ultimately when they couldn't move Zucker, Pettersson, or Matheson there wasn't a lot they could do. Maybe find an offensive wing or upgrade in net instead of McGinn. - Tojo.
That's where I side with Rutherford being better than Hextall. Yup, he could make some crappy deals, but it goes with the territory of high risk/reward and being a proactive GM, versus a passive Nancy like Hextall. I also think he would have saw the poop storm of expansion and free agency in a dead cap environment coming a mile away and made pre-emptive roster moves long ahead of time that would have had them better positioned for this. He would have found a way to make something happen instead of lying down, crying poor (We'll go to the store to look, but we probably won't be buying becuase it's too expensive...WTF) and hoping they didn't take the jewelry too. Never heard JR cry poor even when they were right up against the cap...poop even over the cap, they still found a way to make moves to make the team better. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but he made the effort.
I hate how Hextall manages. Simon and ER? Really? One former Penguin who couldn't crack an NHL lineup for more than 11 games last season and recorded no points doing it, and another that they felt so good about they wouldn't even let on the ice for the playoffs the last two seasons. That's what you get? Oh, sorry I forgot about overpaying in salary and term for a depth role penalty killer when you had better already who you could pay less. That and a backup goalie with no NHL experience. Well at least the playoffs will be exciting to witness, if they get there. |

Hopefully trying to gain leverage... Fleury considering retiring, not many options for Chicago to trade him to. Their only other goalie is Lankinen (meh) and the goalie market is starting to get slim. Jarry and a 3rd for Fleury (1/2 retained)... do they want a guy capable of competing to be a starter and a mid round draft pick or do they want nothing? |

I mean could be the team didn't want him or he didn't want the team? Pens seem to struggle in FA. Could be cap strapped or players aren't interested? |

Curious what AZ is going to do. Most of their team will be a UFA after this season. They only have 4 Dmen on the roster. Both G's are over 30.
Avs will have to go after a G. They are in a win now mode while Mac is cheap. |

I don’t buy it. Gaudreau had a nice role for us in the 3rd line. $1.2M was fair price. We gave Rodrigues (a 13th forward at best) $1M. This sucks.
I’m ok with Simon on a two-way deal btw. |

They both suck!
