I like his game a lot. I think he's got a spot on this team. In trg camp, I hope AV reads NAK the riot act about stupid penalties. Install an electric shock collar if you need to. He can be effective if he sorts that out.

Wouldn't it be better to offer PTO contracts to rev up competition? If the Flyers go out and sign veteran UFA then that doesn't create competition from young players because the advantage will always go to the UFA, they know they are starting the race a step behind.

I like the PTO route as well but not sure who would be available/willing. Eric Staal should have some interest today. Former captain, Stanley Cup champ. Big center. Played in Cup final last season.

If we look at what Chuck has done so far this offseason, Eric Staal fits that mold.

Flyers need to focus on getting the best goalie they can fit in cap wise then re-sign Saheim and Hart to reasonable contracts. If they spend another 1-2m for another forward who may or may not make the team or get scratched later is a waste, plus that cap has to come from somewhere.

Kinda weird how the iron man streak is subject to coach's decision. If he doesn't miss games for injury or personal reasons, it should continue, IMO. If you're not gonna count getting benched for the POs against him, then the same should apply for the regular season.

I agree as well. Tandem G first priority today. Then making sure we have the cash to sign Sanheim and Hart. Then, if a player has value and can contribute, another forward in UFA/PTO. Plus keeping some salary cap cushion.

Yeah. I don't understand that either. I thought he was solid for them. So the Leafs got him??

Interesting thing. I was reading about Grubauer's underlying numbers and although he had great stats, he was getting very few high quality shots so it kind of cooked his numbers. He couldn't get it done in the playoffs. I always say that that team needs better tending to get over the top.
