Well, this is the team the Flyers are going into the season with. I think they are at least a playoff team and if things fall right could make a deep run. The Flyers still have $8M in cap space, plenty to sign Hart and Sanheim, and go into the season with a little more than $2M of cap space. And the Flyers still have all of their their up and coming prospects. Overall, I like the off season, it is clearly a step forward.

I just ordered my Thompson jersey. Also chuck just announced that Jones will keep his current 31 jersey number with the flyers.

The kid apologized and put a statement out asking all NHL teams not to draft him because he didn't think he was mentally ready and should focus on fixing things about himself. Montreal decided they knew better and drafted him.

The division has taken a step back I think. CBJ and the Devils are not making the playoffs. Caps and Pens got a year older. Rangers should push for the playoffs but I think they still need more defense. Isles and Canes should be locks.

Flyers, Caps, Pens and Rangers battle for third and possibly three of them get in with the wildcard(s). Will be tough for both Wildcards though. TML, Fla, TBL and Boston will beat up on the Wings and Sabres. Ottawa is not ready yet and the Canadiens will miss the playoffs.
