Now HERE I have to agree with you. That is a vast overpay.

One of the top-20 ES point scorers over the past 3-seasons. He gets next to no PP time. Give him a couple of good linemates, PP time, and he's actually putting up close to Coots numbers.

Straight up, who would you rather have, Couts or Landeskog? Its close for sure. I think Landeskog's deal will set the market for a player like Couts.
- jd250

Again 1 is a center who has more value. Right now today I take ex selke.

It sucks that we signed Hayes right before the flag cap, him and landeskog now getting similar money, Coots is 100% not taking that

All of sudden Colorado needs a goalie, do they get Kuemper from Arizona via trade?
- jd250

Maybe we can trade them Jones....

Fletcher is a genius!

Hart just had a SV% in the .870's. Team SV% was in the .880s.

"Backup goalie" could be your starting goalie in a hurry.

- Tomahawk

There was an extremely large quantity of goals that had absolutely ZERO to do with poor goaltending. Team defense was a complete disaster. If the d wasn't so awful, both goalies are probably around low .900 save%

Don't like Martin Jones as the backup. Clendening (2-way) and Thompson I am fine with as long as they are used as extras.

Rumor has it that Glenn Hall has made no secret that he's available. He's starting to outlive his investments and now is just trying to make ends meet. Warning: He does have 326 losses; one horrible season below .900 and sometimes throws up before games. Might take a bit to shake some of the age off but we can probably get him for Holtby money.

It'll be interesting to see just how much his departure impacts the Habs. Will serve as an interesting test case for all those who think Coots should be moved.

Edit: Website just updated, he's a King. Still a ridiculous and desperate contract IMO. Glad the Flyers are staying away from these types of deals today.

Point is 25. I don't see Coots getting that term.

Lol underpaid on current deal. He’s getting 7-8 year deal.

So the Canadiens are asking their first round pick not to participate in rookie camp lol. What is goin on there, says he showed an explicit photo? Was this just a young kid being an idiot or something worse?

Hart’s life will be much simpler when we can actually clear the puck this season and not continuously turn it over via failed clears. That was basically the difference between 19-20 and 20-21.
- arichardson22

What was the difference?
Niskanen didn’t play 55 minutes a night nor did he play every shift. To many of the young guys didn’t progress last year and yes Provy took a step back without Niskanen.
It had a lot to do with smart hockey sense which I think has been addressed outside of maybe Risto.

I just ordered my Thompson jersey. Also chuck just announced that Jones will keep his current 31 jersey number with the flyers.

Triggered?

I see him getting 6. If he wants more you revisit then. I would rather they let Giroux walk and retain Coots at almost any cost.

Wait, Landeskog just signed for $7M per, I think that sets the price for Couts.
- jd250

Landy a winger coots a center coots getting more than that. It shows what the market is
