Meh. Jones can’t be any worse than Elliott was last year. And honestly, if Hart struggles again this year we have a bigger problem to worry about than the backup.

Hart better have some good sports psychologist sessions this year. They really put the pressure in him to perform and bounce back. He falters they are toast.

Holtby was horrible last year, why would we want him. Elliot and Jones basically the same. Lateral move!

So instead of hoping just one goalie bounces back, it's both goalies.

His first 3 years in SJ were good…the last 3 he’s been bad….on a bad team. Not my first pick out of the options.

I wouldn’t have mind Moose back, but we saw what happens to him with a heavier load last season when Hart was injured or benched.

No, I’m just not mr sky is falling for a back up goalie. Jones has shown he’s capable of being a starting goalie in the past. He’s reunited with his old goalie coach too. Mrazek was dog poop for us and Carolina, then he was a stud for Carolina. Goalies can bounce back with a change of scenery. Less pressure for him to do it as a back up goalie too.
