not sure how this could be a positive thing if they don't replace him but yeah I'm kinda happy he's gone too, maybe now we'll stop complaining about him all the (frank)ing time.

Now we can focus all our hatred on KK as a bust, as it should be.

Good for Danault. Seeing the numbers my guess is both sides likely didn't want to get a deal done

Knew Danault had a bit of a grudge since last summer so him leaving is not surprising

I see KK being in a trade to get a better 2nd line centre

well the pizza in Montreal sucks anyway

Maybe I got lucky, but when I was growing up in St Laurent, we had an amazing local pizzeria.

Danault case feel a bit of like the Radulov case, leaving for small term/money difference

given where i imagine KK's trade value is right now there would be no point in trading him. much better off hoping he can develop some consistency to his game.

Putting your house on sale a week before free agency was also a good sign.

if the 6x5 offer from Montreal was real (i've never seen it confirmed) then he just didn't want to be here long term and there wasn't much to be done.

well 5.5 with lower tax and out of your (frank)ing winter, is a lot more than 5 in MTL

So far I'm not really upset. No moves that have handicapped the long term. Kotkaniemi and Evans likely get bigger roles so we get an idea on exactly what the Habs have. Poehling may get a chance to get worked in. Sometimes not making moves are the best moves

so far... lost Bouchard in Laval, Weber died, Price is having a surgery usually reserved for 80-year-olds, we drafted John Wayne Gacy and our only veteran center just went to LA for an extra 500k.

did i miss anything?
