Today is the day, that by the end of it, we should have an idea of what is going on with this team. I’ll stick to my earlier prediction…

Is Palms, Parise, Suter enough?

Yeah I believe so. I don’t think we get Suter though. It’ll be some other low cost option most likely imo. If we can lock up Parise, Palms, and our unsigned players while finding a way to dump more salary aka Komarov for TDL space that is a real successful day. We do that we are a contender as long as whoever we fill Leddys spot with doesn’t completely suck.

I never thought he would leave.. just wanted the term. They even said that a few times when he turned down 5 X 7 .. money was fine but wanted the years.

sounds like Suter is going to Dallas. I still don't want Parise... Get me Murray or trade for Dunn. Sign Casey, Palmieri, Pelech and Sorokin..

As long as Trotz doesn't do his ridiculous lineup decisions I see Wahlstrom having a breakout season. 30 goals is a real possibility

Since I'm a pessimist, here's what I predict happening with the Isles.
Re-sign Pelech, Sorokin, Beau, Palms & Zeeker. Don't get Tarasenko or any other sniper. Aho/Bolduc (and maybe a couple other Dmen) get long looks. Maybe, maybe sign Parise for additional depth, but that's it. I predict we're going to see the same team as last year except with the addition of Lee and minus Ebs & Leddy.

The initial offer that Landy rejected was 4 @ $6.5m. Landy wanted more term and money. He got both with 8x$7m.

I think it can be enough especially if Wally continues to develop. I like Palms over Eberle. I like the idea of signing Murray on defense. Younger than Leddy and probably better defense.

I agree with Palms over Eberle with Wahlstrom getting a long look in eberle’s spot on the top line. I’m hoping for Goligoski on the back end and hoping one of Bolduc or Aho eventually challenges Greene for that last spot. I think Greene has been great for us but at this point I think he’s better served as a 7th D. He looked worn down the stretch and especially in the playoffs I expect that to get worse this year…

Goligoski or Murray would be nice. I agree Greene did look worn down and he is best as a 7th dman. I'm not sure Barry would want to go with Bolduc or Aho with Dobson though?

This is exactly what I think and kind of expected all along so won't be upset with this.. but we do need D-depth sign or trade more than Parise. It is Lou though so you never know.. he might have something going on we never heard a whisper about..

Lots of Dunn trade rumors around. I would be really happy if that happened.

I really thought Greene was great. Just always in the right spot and making the right decisions. He had a few plays that were off but in general I thought he played very good.

I would think he'd put Bolduc/Aho with Greene and Dobson with Mayfield.

That very well may be true. Lou isn't exactly a chatty Cathy when it comes to moves or signings.

Bolduc would hopefully get some looks just to cut back on Greene’s ice time a bit. Greene is still a great player but he’s long in the tooth. He was exposed in the PO’s more often then not imo.
