If Chuck had come in and gone hog wild sending out picks and prosepcts for 30 yr old vets and burning second picks like they were 7th as used to be the norm, I wouldn't be happy at all. That catches up to you, and is what forced Hextall into cleanup mode for 5 years. As long as we continue to build primarily through the draft, things should be fine. I still get scared whenever Dave Scott talks about this team..

Scott is a suit. All he cares is that the team gets better on the ice. As long as he doesn’t interject himself in hockey decisions or lower their payroll below a cap spending team (there’s absolutely no evidence of this) then he is irrelevant to the equation.

This could signal that they're going back to 2D on both PP units. Risto, Ellis, Yandle and Prov are all PP capable.

Yeah, let’s just rush York with ZERO backup plan. And if he struggles we can all complain that Chuck threw him to the sharks. York is a KID, he will have a shot at camp and certainly play some games this year. Some people’s posts here, good lord.

IMO, even though York looked good, he should spend some time riding the busses. If/when he's ready, you can make room for him.

IDM Yandle on 1-year, $900k. With Jake and Ghost gone, they need transition-capable players on board. Ellis can't do everything himself.
