Do the signings today make CFS moves better, worse or the same.
Example, the rumor of Hamilton at 8 years at 9-10 |

Happy ufa day.
Predictions on who we get?
I can’t see us trading assets fir Kuemper so I’m predicting Bernier or Holtby as our backup tendy.
Depth forward signing. I don’t see us in on any big fish which is fine.

I was interested in Hamilton but not ever at that number. I’m glad we didn’t go that route. I guess it all depends on how the new additions work out. |

They've got cap space. I don't think he's worth that number however. |

Anything to put them in a cap crunch. I wouldn’t pay that number. |

why? - penguininnevada
It was reported that he turned down bigger offers. Might had to do with them going all in. Maybe the NMC. Maybe because he hates Pitt. Not sure why but any of those seem likely. |

At soon 35 i think Yandle may be one of the fastest flyers. |

Interesting twist on the Biles withdrawal.
If she pulled herself out because she is being held back to make things fair then just stop having the olympics.
The article doesn’t really go into depth on this but I’ve heard this theory brought up on radio.
That she is being told some moves won’t be scored.
I can completely understand her decisions if it’s related to this. If not then not so much.

Not sure why people don't like the Yandle signing. It's a cheap deal and kind of insurance if you ask me. This is going to be a grueling schedule this year with the Olympic shutdown and squeezing 82 games in(hopefully). I've always been a believer that you need to go into a season with 8 competent defensemen. You know...injuries. - Phillywhiteout
could it be that compared to Yandle at this point in his career Any Elmore was better in the defensive zone? |

Do we know what Yandle is coming in at? I know we're getting him at a discount since he was just bought out and wants to play with Atkinson and Hayes. A friend told me his deal is around 900k-1mil and will be loaded with bonus incentives.
Ultimately, I think this will end up giving us some cushion between the cap. I agree that I don't foresee any big forward signings, but you never know.
Definitely some interesting RFA guys who are now UFA after not getting a QO.

If thats the case, why didn't the Flyers outbid LV last year for Pieterangelo? |

That really is not a fair argument. Each player has different reasons for signing where they sign. Some may be money others location. You really can not apply one players logic and thinking with anothers |

I'd love Bozak. Glendening would be a nice consolation prize. Stepan is a good player but the injuries scare me.

Because they aren't the Devils?
Because its a different player and a different organization?
Because Pieterangelo and Hamilton are different human beings with unique DNA and history?
I could go on.....

You asked me why. Only thing I could think of is for the money. No other reason Hamilton would sign with the Devil’s. That’s all I got. |

I’ve been hoping for Luke Glendening for years. He’s exactly what ever forth line needs. Can play center or wing, Faceoffs, PK, gritty. I’ll be disappointed if he goes anywhere else. |
