Apparently Fleury still hasnt heard from Vegas and found out about his trade through Twitter. Brutal way to treat Fleury (IMO). Guy just won the Vezina too. We banter how no one wants to sign in Philly. This type of move from Vegas would give me pause signing there if I were a player - arichardson22
That and all the sign and trades they made. People complain about Philly. Vegas is a sh. Hole imo |

I heard something like this suggested on the Snow the Goalie podcast. No names where directly referenced, but the hosts claimed that it had to do with the Covid protocols, restrictions and new rules related to the pandemic.
Things like this are bound to happen. Masks etc. are very controversial in most average people’s daily life. It doesn’t mean I am mad at people that have a difference in opinion. Conflict happens. It is easy to understand if something along those lines occurred.
Things going back to normal helps many areas, but I don’t make too much out of this. I don’t see it as a lasting serious issue that continues, if that makes sense. - NC Flyers Fan
Nothing's back to normal yet - things are moving backwards, again - because masks and the vaccine are a controversy to some. More fun yet to come. |

And I am very grateful you are a minority in your country, sir.
He is way ahead in the polls, and I hope he calls elections soon, and I hope the polls are correct and he gets an absolute majority.

Funny how he lost the popular vote last election but ok. And he has a minority government for a reason. But thanks for chiming in.

They did light up the CN Tower and Niagara Falls in Red, Blue and white….people in Toronto were not happy…lol. Especially after the Habs beat the Leafs….and no offence but most Canada east of Ottawa do not consider or would ever consider the Habs Canada’s team…it made me nauseous.
I laughed because if it had gone the other way no way in hell would anyone in Quebec ever allow that to happen in Montreal…. - landros 2
Yes, I can see that. But they are the most popular team in Canada though.
And yes, I completely agree about Habs parochialism. Part of the latter might be a defensive thing though, as I know I don't have to tell you. All this Quebecois thing. I have seen our own Claude say at least once "I don't understand that. I am French" or sumthing like that.
If it's any consolation, when England played Italy in the Euro final a few days ago, the pubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow were packed with people cheering for the ...Italians. When they played Denmark, the Scots cheered so loudly for the Danes they were called McDanes.
So, you know, little mercies and all that.

He's a left side defenseman. So it means either York isn't playing or Sanheim is getting moved? Brutal! - MJL
I think AV has made it clear several times now, he came to Philly to win a cup. The way he coached last season and how the roster is coming together this season, AV does not want to work with rookies. Yandle is coming in at $900k to play with Braun on the left side, and Morin is your 7th. York and Zamula will start the year on the Phantoms. I would also look for trades or FA signings over the next few days for bottom 6 forwards, because again I don't think AV wants rookies there either. It appears the Flyers are going all in this year! |

I did not say anything whatsoever about the last election. I am talking about the one likely coming soon.
Or, to put it more succinctly: second paragraph, the link I posted.
Try reading what the guy is actually saying. Before, you know, chiming in.

It’s pretty close actually….Toronto is on the same level…actually the only time I watch soccer (football) is during the Euro cup or the World Cup….I adopted England to cheer for…it is a lot of fun to follow.

Oddly enough I went to my last two years of HS in western PA, about an hour north of Pittsburgh...this is when they won back to back cups and I couldn't be bothered to care less about the Pens. Soon as I got to the Philly area I because an Hockey/Flyers fan. - shekkie
I went to HS in southern Oregon, where no one, I mean no one, played hockey.

Correct, because technically no player can sign with another team until Free agency opens tomorrow at 10am. |

I just googled, and it seems you are right.
For some reason, I thought the Habs were numero uno, historically and now. I always thought it was because of their storied past. |

Pretty solid vet….he obviously won’t be counted on to play a major role. When the kids are ready, so be it. This contract and it’s value won’t block anyone….I do wonder if the Flyers are up to more? - landros 2
They are absolutely up to more. One thing about Yandle, he is only 34 years old and 2 years removed from a 60+ point season, so this low risk, high reward for a 1 year deal. |

As Hextall once said, "no player's progression was ever curtailed by playing more games in the minors". I think for York and Zamula, this will be good for them to continue to develop and get used to the pro game, and I am sure there will injuries and thus opportunities for them to be called up as the season goes on. |

It’s the French vs. the English. I can’t stand either. Although my dad is French but is and always will be a Leaf fan. |
