He has certainly been true to his word, being aggressive. Like the forward group for the most part, bit of work still to do. The D still needs some serious attention - some big gambles there. Hopefully these lessons are sinking in.

Wouldn’t mind seeing the Canucks go cheap on D with guys like Hamonic and Schenn and maybe go after a guy like Danault. Would give the Canucks two legit scoring lines… a world class 3rd line and a competent 4th line.

PP units would be elite, Huge upgrade to the PK, 5 on 5 Horvat would no longer have to match up defensively… which honestly he’s okay at but not elite.

Imagine if they get someone to take Myers and sign Montour & Hamilton.

Dougie is one of the best all around defenseman in the league. If he wants to stay in and read a holy book instead of go out drinking, all the power to him. The team would be a hell of a lot better with him

Hamhuis was a big Christian as well, but yet he was well liked. Dougie might be one of those pushy ones who tries to convert his teammates, why else is he about to join his 3rd team at the age of 28 despite being regarded as a top 10/top 15 dman? Just seems odd that the Canes aren't jumping through hoops to keep him
