my question was about possible similarities in attitude between him and jack...is it off-base that they're very similar?

Hated the A's back then. Jose Rijo was dealing. The best pitcher in baseball for the playoffs. He might've had two of the 4 wins in the World Series?

eric davis was great for the reds...then, large marge opened her big mouth and closed her purse...what an ass of an owner

I agree. Having a 2nd team is fraudulent fandom. No backup plans.

I mean, you told me I couldn't be a fan of any team as my location doesn't provide me with direct access. So it makes sense that you also think watching college teams would blur the NHL fandom as well.

I'm really interested to see how an analytics led free agency will look for the Sabres. I think we attack the 'need to re-establish myself' market of guys, like Detroit did last season. Hopefully they get a mix of Detroit veteran acquisitions and Florida's bottom 9 smart pick ups for now and future.

Hmm, it's weird that you know he's already got a Kraken jersey. Also, if I watch, say, a college team, am I cheating on the Sabres according to your logic?
- SDSabre

Why wouldn't he have a Kraken jersey? They took the player he wanted the Sabres to take 1OA - Matty "Toews 2.0" Beniers.

If Eichel goes there, it would be the second disgruntled me first player they reach for, and likely would end up on the wrong end of the trade. Losing Shea Weber is going to be disastrous for that team and locker room.
- TheSabresTaco

If the Sabres trade eichel within the division or even the conference, like sam....

You gotta think the Sabres aren't ",worried" about either player beating us. They both have serious personality flaws and maybe sticking division opponents with bad attitudes ☝️

On ice is clearly different

Doubt eichel goes anywhere but western conference.

What's the big reason for eichel being traded today?

Imagine the pegulas paying eichels bonus before trading him.

Opposite of ror.

Could use that towards the cap floor?

Maybe? 🤔

A bonus being paid only counts as cash out not against the salary cap if he isn't in uniform opening day

Appreciate the information.
👍

Paying the bonus would help his trade value though correct?

As Pachla said, there is no bonus for this coming season. The bonus is for the 22-23 season.

Just like Jack and ROR their bonuses count towards their cap hit but paying out a bonuses like ROR on July 1st was strictly a cash out thing.

The Blues still are charged for ROR's cap hit of $7.5 million but had the Sabres paid his bonus the Blues only would have had to pay ROR like $1 million for the season or something
