This doesn't come into play as much as his NMC clause, imo. But I'm sure it's on their minds. They cannot ROR this.

I wanted Kaliyev in his draft year, not that Johnson rod.

Is it possible the Pegula’s are just trying to cut salary for a sale?

It's certainly the perfect time. Team sucks, has for years. Blow it up, cut salary, great time for a rebuild, sell team.

nah. Owners are billionaires. Anyone looking to buy isn't going to be turned off from a couple extra million on the payroll.

I think they'll sell, probably by the end of the year or early next year. I think the pandemic slowed down that process. Just a gut feeling.

It’s not great, but probably realistic of what teams are willing to give. Dahlin would have to shift to the right side for sure tho.... something I’d prefer not to happen regardless of how “comfortable” he says he is

$27m without Jack being moved. Plenty of room for any cap dumps from his trade plus a cap dump or two from another team or two.

So much different from '13-'15

Yeah they really need to weaponize the cap space, could get you some more picks or a few younger players. They need to figure out the RD situation, funny went from having to many to not having enough in short order.

Even with the lack of d-men we have I would be trying to move Miller if I’m being completely honest with you.

Probably get something back worth having for the future with the prices being paid for d-men right now

Just collect talent and picks, let Donnie Meatballs develop the players on hand and figure out the rest later.

At this point, they need players. See what you can do in free agency, maybe get a cap dump D, work from there. Hate to say it, but you can't pick dump Miller rn.

Agree, but you only have 2 starting RD on your team right know, don't think Laaksonen is ready just yet.

Fair point.

I’m just greedy for 2022 picks.

I don't disagree. Just would rather collect another forward prospect comparable to Bjornfot if possible.

Could always take back some in a trade or scrape the bottom of the FA bin.
