Plus Stralman is not very good anymore. I would be calling Tampa, Vegas, Vancouver - Buff36
Vancouver I’m cool with
But Tampa & Vegas will both surely be picking at the bottom of the draft the next couple seasons
There’s other teams I’d target first |

And Cernak would come back full circle. He was drafted with 1 of the 2nds we sent to LA in the sh!tty McNabb trade. - Buff36

That would make more sense then
I’d rather have lotto tix from potential lottery teams though
The top of the ‘22 & ‘23 drafts have some great talent- and that could be a huge boost in the direction we need to go |

If we trade Eichel, not counting salary we take back, we’d be $26m under the cap floor.
Some of that goes to signing RFAs but that’s a big opportunity to sign some good free agents on 1 year deals and sell them off at the trade deadline. Someone mentioned this 5 pages ago and they’re right on
See if the Sabres are smart enough to do that |

I agree, just don't see those picks coming available, but if they did could also give you ammo for other things. |

I know we did that with Taylor Hall last year
But usually those kind of players can get long term deals |

Yeah, Sabres need to weaponize there cap space, like Arizona is doing right know. Think they have gotten a 1st and like 8 2nds in the last week |

Take it a step further...
Not Vaccinated, if hospitalized you the full ride is your personal financial responsibility, including a lean on all personal items such as home, car, etc.

Over pay and retain 1/2 celery for that 1st. Can we get two of those on our roster? That would be awesome |

I imagine dahlin's extension eats 5-6 million of that. Two goalies eats another 6-8 million. Just getting a full roster of forwards and D at probably only leaves us 5-6 million under the floor, and I imagine we will take a contract back for Eichel.
There is not much to be done to reach the floor. |

We should of been doing that knowing we were selling Risto, Sam and Jack. Good teams hit on a few 2nd rd picks. Ups our chance the more picks we have |

👏👏👏
Not many teams can do that
Maybe we are just waiting for ARZ to finish up,
that way there’s less options for teams looking to dump salary & we can demand more from them |

Going all out and buying picks.
I stole trades from fans of other teams.

Would be a crazy haul of picks
2021 - 4 1st round picks, 1 2nd round pick
2022 - 2 1st round picks, 4 2nd round picks
2023 - 1 1st round pick, 2 2nd round picks. - Mentalorgasm5
Walking Dahlin to within one year of being a UFA with that 3 year deal, eh? That's a bold strategy! |

My best guess including deals already made, some estimates using Evolving Hockey on deals, and goaltending guesses.
Trading Eichel and bringing no cap back would put them at around $4M from the cap floor.

Well they are at 37m right know and that with Jack's cap hit, so move him and that raises it to 47m so 27m just to hit the floor. They should have some to play with and maybe 10m more if they set a internal cap of 70m |

Well still have other teams with space, even if Arizona stops. Adams just needs to try and see what happens. |

I'm affraid of bringing in players who do not want to play in buffalo. Old overpriced vets for the bill.
That's what your getting in exchange for picks.
Does bad attitude around our youth = draft picks? |

It’s between him and the pegula medaling as to what screwed us more. I really hope they step back like they did with the bills. I just don’t think they will. |

That is how i look at it too ... .internal cap of 70 mill.
The Sabres should go after Holtby to get that cap up. Ready for this pegulas special ...... he has 1 year left at 4.3 million. I wouldnt hate it and yes i know his game has fallen off. its better than paying ullmark 6 |

I'd overpay for Ritchie on a 2 or even 3 year deal.
If it doesn't work out, he can be traded and the Sabres can retain 50% if needed. |
