That’s usually the case for a contender because their best prospects are now on the team. Check out the Penguins and how many picks and prospects that they’ve traded while trying to win.

We could go back 6 years and have the best prospect pool in the league but I think I’d rather be a contender. And before all the dimwits say we’re not a contender I disagree.

So Khaira not qualified with Oil. Might be a guy could be decent on bottom 6 and likely cheap salary.

Okay, here's the rub. You can't have a 1000 prospects. They eventually need to be signed or sent back to the draft or some poop.

Jarmo in Colombus blew his load like no other to go for it and then let Bobrovsky and Panarin both walk. He didn't have the young guys like Dubas has and yet he's turning it around now a few years later.

Give Dubas some time to do some things. Now is absolutely the time to trade picks and depth prospects for roster players if need be. You can't predict the future so we can't go "Well this is the year we are FOR SURE winning the cup so trade everything!" Same as the opposite. Dubas is doing what he can to go for it. The window is open now. That's the job. To go for it now.
