If there is no Trotz here this team is not a playoff team. If Dubas traded and signed JPG to that horrendous contract we would be tearing him apart.
Trotz is arguably the best coach in the league right now.

Back in the day the leafs would dump players who would then go on to great things. That doesn’t happen anymore. They had Hyman for his best years, let the Oilers overpay him.
