Thats an issue you need to work out with yourself. It seems you haven't come to terms yet with what the sabres are doing.

No amount of laughing emojis is going to change that.

I am not deluded enough to think this poop sandwich is going to taste any different than the first time they made it for us.

Be that as it may this is the direction the sabres are going.

Remain a sabres fan and wait it out or don't.

No one is happy with what is happening but its happening.

At least management has recognized this core is not going to win.

I think this is different. Cozens mitts dahlin proving themselves this past year post Ralph is the core in place

Add in wright and profit

- Sabretooth9

For the Sabres to draft Wright next year they have to be a lottery team next season.

So how will Dahlin, Cozens and Mitts continue to improve while the team loses, then how will adding an 18 year old to a 23 man roster provide enough impact to make the jump to contending status?

The only way your scenario plays out properly is if the Sabres received a 22 unprotected 1st with no conditions to move to 23 and that team bombs next year.

At the same time the Sabres have to become playoff bubble quality at a minimum this season.

Lazy, yes. poopty take or aware of piss poor ownership that continues to interfere?

Terry wants Wright like he wanted McDavid, expect the same approach.

- Theguywiththething

Unless you have knowledge of Terry's hardon for Wright, this is just talk. And if we're trading valuable pieces it makes sense to me to get picks next year, which is said to be an amazing draft year, rather than this year which is kinda meh. Also, when we tanked for Sam and Jack, we literally had no promising younguns and our short-sighted GMs set us back 5 years by trading for a mentally ill goalie, a talented but sleazy power forward, and giving away a Selke-caliber center for rusty spare parts.

The Ristolanus trade gives me reason to be optimistic that KA will at least be better than the clownshow that came before him.

The difference is

Cozens. Dahlin mittlestadt > girgorenko zadorov girgensons

Then we move those pieces for ROR

So the core wasn’t in place for Eichel or Sam

We drafted Sam and Eichel before the core. Since we moved out the old core for ROR

Wright or Savoie both will be as good as Eichel if not better.

Eichel hasn't done anything for the sabres except whine about losing.

And this was the same thing said about these 3 during the tank. It is what it is, its going to be another 5 years. The sabres will own the worst stretch of hockey in the NHL history.

In a league where half the teams will make the playoffs, this team wont see anything better than a 22nd finish in 15 plus years.

You want to be happy about that, go ahead. It is embarrassing.

Devon Levi looks like he could be a top 5 goalie in the league.

He isn't something to dismiss for Reinhart in a package.

When you say "They said"

This is different management. Adams wasn't here for that gong show.

Correct, the owners that controlled that path were, and still are controlling this path.

Yeah, there's 30 teams last year that all hoped to win it all but fell short. While I want to watch entertaining hockey in Buffalo, at the end of the day we won just as much as 29 other teams not located in Tampa.

No there was 29 teams that watched and hoped. The sabres unfortunately weren't able to hope for that, and it will be like that for another 5 years, hoping for last.

Have to say I’m surprised about taking Rosen over Lysell.

Sucked to see Sillinger and Coronato go right before our pick. Both would have been ideal

For me this started with Tim Murray trading away 1st for Lehner could have had Konecny or Boeser, trading a 1st away in the Kane trade, Fasching for 2 2nds, Karabacek, Cornel, Lemieux even Johnson over Kaliyev

Drafting has been a disaster the last 10 years.

Nothing we can do about the owners.

It is what it is. Keep your money and don't support the team or hope Adams and company get it right this time.

It wasn't working. They tried how many different ways to make it work? It was, and is, time to blow it up.

If Sam does head to Fla and Jack, as rumored, end up in Mtl then both will stay in the division with the likes of Tampa Toronto and Boston still ruling the roost. They're also still in a very tough Eastern conference. Right now odds are one of them won't make the playoffs meaning a possible additional lottery pick for the Sabres
