Back to the point of the Sabres taking skill over size. Most likely they will sign players with grit because it's less likely to back fire.
Develop your own skill players and get the plugs through free agency.

Signing low cost grit over high priced skill seems more logical. Over paying for skill that might not work isn't a good model for success.

I almost forgot with how stacked this Michigan team is going to be in the NCAA we have the starting goalie in our pipeline. Exciting

Levi looks like a great prospect. Don't care he was a late round pick. The guy crushed it in the WJC.

If someone told you that you were getting the best goalie from the past World Juniors you would be happy.

Yes, another move in the same vein of Hudson Fasching

On the first-round pick in the Sam Reinhart trade, there is lottery protection. If the pick ends up top 10 next year, the first-rounder moves to 2023 instead.

Devon Levi’s stats in the CCHL were impressive and his world juniors this was was amazing.

Where did he play this year? No where besides the worlds?

He played with Daniil Chayka and Prokhor Poltapov. Sabres must have spent a lot of time on this team.

My God a 7th round pick and a late 2022 1st?
I was under the impression you guys were getting a lot more than that.

- optimus-reim

Who says it's a late pick? In that division, Florida may not make the playoffs.
