Fletcher might do this:

Fletcher trades the 13th pick for a later 1st rounder this year and a 2nd round pick in next years or this years draft.

This way he gets a 2nd he lost in the Ghost trade back.
Also, the players available around 13 are not standing out much more than the players available around 15-20 Esp. with the limited Covid season.

Similar to what Fletcher did in the 2019 Draft.

Very possible.

Sign Tony D

Jake for Evander Kane.

Hagg NAK 13th for Manson 4th 2021 6th 2022

Sign Jake Virtannen on 1 year deal once bought out.

Could be possible, but when I hear Fletcher talk it doesn't sound like he is unsure of who to pick at #13 and more about it will be used to get something to help now and only now with longer term in mind for future as well.

Chuck tell you this or just your opinion?
- hello it's me 2050

I mean that's pretty obvious isn't it?

Hamilton could command 8+ in AAV. Ellis is at 6.2, Provorov is at 6.7, Sanheim is going to probbaly be around 4. That's a lot of money to commit in the defense.

Could it happen..I guess.

Is there high probabilty...no

I don't want Kane or Virtanen. I know D'Angelo has baggage but those two seem to be on a differnet level with the baggage in my eyes.

And If I am moving 13 i think I want more than Manson.

ive asked him several times when he poo pood the ellis trade what he wouldve changed on it, giving different players, maybe a different D man. And he wouldnt answer. HE is quick to criticize your thoughts, but wont offer up his own. He admitted our biggest need was a #1RHD and thats what we got, and he still complained about it.

I’ve found it best to piss mjl off to point he doesn’t respond to you therefore avoiding getting aggravated with him.

My thoughts were the same, specially Manson, but ADA isn't worth the risk. I get that people just want the hope of getting a gem, but the chances are slim to none.

I like how annoying Ristolainen is, but at 5.4m and soon to be a UFA...absolutely no way I would give up a 1st rounder in any draft. Imagine what Ristolainen would want to re-sign....7? 8?

Not at the cost of a 1st rd pick is what sabres apparently are looking for.

I thought D'ANgelo was more well rounded that he could be fit but then i went back and looked at some things and he really isn't a fit for what we need.

I know Ristolainen is kind of a polarizing guy because of all the underlying metrics but when i watch him play he is a guy I would love on my team.

I personally wouldn't drop the house for him, but I would take him on the Flyers in the right role.

Sanheim-Ristolainen

I could live with that, but there will be mistakes to Ristolainen game for sure. Now the big question is...does he walk after a year or will the Flyers flip him if they can't re-sign him for a reasonable cap and term?

I don't think you can overlook the "Buffalo factor." Decent players put up bad stats due to the organization and poor play. It's amazing how much of a "change of scenery" can do for a player. Winning culture (at least every other year:-)) and some solid veterans and bingo...

I wonder if Risto will play a stay at home style that will free Sanheim more to jump into the offensive play

That's actually a big question mark in my mind, Risto jumps up A LOT, or he did with Buffalo.
