I am not sure that the team is better with Atkinson in for Jake. I get why the deal was made -- I won't female dog about this one too much, nor will I change my opinion that chuckles is a mediocre gm at best.

Atkinson isn’t as talented as Voracek, but he plays effectively on the PK and can chip in some offense. Flyers gain some cap space as well. I think Voracek has run his course with the Flyers. I like this move.

Jeez. Oh well. Hopefully the kid plays well for us. He's fast but has issues thinking the game at that high speed. Kind of sounds like Rico Fata. Man that guy could skate but he couldn't keep up with himself and had a short career.

I wouldn't lump him with Fata, Tuemaala has a better floor and can be versatile using that speed. Fata was a speedster and nothing else.

I am absolutely not a company guy. I absolutely hated the trade yesterday. But you complain about everything. Literally everything they do. If you hate it that much, don’t watch, it’s supposed to be fun.

Atkinson seems to have a lot of heart and shoots the puck. Jake more of a playmaker and the cap difference is about 2.5 in Flyers favor. Seems to be a net gain.

This makes no sense for Columbus. I wonder if they’re gonna ship Voracek somewhere else?

JV while still a good player was not the answer. I don’t know much about Atkinson but if he can skate that’s a plus. He can obviously score.
The locker room needed a culture change. Even if last year was an anomaly this group has a history of slow starts.

OH come on .. will you, Cam has scored over 30 goals multiple times and 41 just two years ago. At least he shoots the puck!!

Love the trade. Atkinson is more than capable of 55+ points and is one of the faster players in the league. The cap space we gain alone is huge. Hard to find 1 for 1 deals like this.

There's nothing to dislike about this trade IMO.

Love the trade. Atkinson is more than capable of 55+ points and is one of the faster players in the league. The cap space we gain alone is huge. Hard to find 1 for 1 deals like this.
