I think Risto is better then that. Funny some of my buddy’s love the guy …while the younger Analytical crowd hate him….the end result is the Flyers are a better team today then a week ago. Contender ? Not quite…but they are headed in the right direction. - landros 2
I liked him in several games that I saw, but I don’t watch too much Sabres so…I have to admit his stats look awful, but his rotating partners are either bottom tier 5/6/7 guys or rookies and the coaching and team depth do make a difference. Bottom line is that in such a case it is hard to determine his true level.

What was the deal with Jones? Seemed like he only wanted to go to a few places?
I get it’s the Blackhawks and they’re a great franchise but like that contract on top of Toews and Kane is absurd. That’s like 40% of their cap on three players, isn’t it? |

Sounds like Boqvist, a 1st and at least one other pick for Jones, who then signs an 8 year, 9.5m AAV deal. |

He was their # 1….or maybe #2….like Provy here. I am happy to see Fletch attempt to upgrade….I mean we already saw what we had last year. If Risto totally sucks then at least as of today we are only tied to him for a year. Big price? Yup. |

If it doesn’t work out they’ll get no less than two 2nd’s for him at the deadline. I’m fine with it. |

Meltzer and some lackeys still defending this sack of poop franchise Im sure.

Nutter making his triumphant return dropping bombs! You like the trade more than I do as well as holding the franchise in higher regard. |

Holy smokes! That is a AAV. Thought he said he wasn’t signing and was going to test the waters of FA. They traded a boatload also. Good player. Would’ve liked him as a Flyers but that AAV is a little steep. I like the Ellis cost and AAV better for what your getting. |

Idk why but I saw thought as the Sharks being a trading partner for Jake.
That said they have pretty much nothing realistic I’d want for him lol. |

Play Riso, sheltered minutes. If you plan on playing him 20 a night, then these are the results you are going to get.
Since 2013, 68 defenseman have played at least 8,000 5v5 minutes. Where Rasmus Ristolainen ranks among them in:
Goals-For %: 68th
Shots-For%: 68th
Corsi-For%: 68th
Fenwick-For%: 68th
Goals-For/60: 68th
Goals-Against/60: 65th
xGF/60: 68th
xGA/60: 55th
Expected Goals-For%: 68th - ImThatGuy

If he is mainly a healthy scratch and not fitting in, I don’t think they would get takers. Personally, not making the playoffs is off my table.
