That’s fine, still on the worst team in the league. Give the guy a chance. |

While I would have liked a goal scorer myself, it’s very possible our team can make a cumulative effort to get more goals. I was told this was the easy way to make up Voracek’s points as well (if traded)… but we will have a full season of Allison who can score, Frost will provide offense, Farabee will score his fair share, and I’m really banking on TK getting back to his 19-20 form. Fully expect Giroux and Jake to have good seasons too and then you have JVR who is good for 25-35 goals. I’m not worried about scoring if we drastically improve our team defense and drastically improve our goal differentials. - arichardson22
Yea, I would love to swap a playmaker for a shooter but overall, I'm not worried about offense.

I think it’s very funny considering that Buffalo will make a bad pick and continue to suck. As well as trade eichel for less than market value. - Hextall271

I'm just happy we don't have to see his name misspelled anymore.
Now if they could only trade Vorachek and Sandheim... |

On top of this, what goal scorers were even available? Sure Tarasenko was, but he came with his shoulder injury risks. Other than that I haven’t heard many guys made available. Maybe Jaden Schwartz in free agency but that’s an expensive signing likely. |

I look at the Flyers having 8 top 9 wingers. Unless they're moving out Voracek or JVR, I don't see them having room for Schwartz.

Risto played on a terrible Sabres team...was it him that made them bad or was it the other way around? I like his size and aggressive nature. I alway like a solid veteran D combined with a talented youngster on the other side. Its obvious that the GM and HC are looking at this coming season as a make it or break it year for themselves. Ghost and Haag didn't move the needle. When you shake it all out they severely overpaid, but they are better for the short term. Who knows what this years crop of draftees will end up being. As with all trades we need wait and, makes tonights draft less exciting. |

I see a pretty good potential for our 2nd pairing to get caved in. Sanheim strikes me as a thoroughbred type: finesse, highly strung, who needs stability over all else.
Instead, he has been given a guy who will be unpredictable, dumb, often in the wrong position, and very often pinching when he shouldn't. Sanheim will have to cover for him.
Whats the over under that 2022 starts with Myers-Braun as our tandem?

Trying to consider this a different way. 5 on 5 Risto’s most recent partner with most time paired together was McCabe followed by Montour and Bryson. How do those guys compare to Sanheim?

I bet you a million dollars Myers won’t be on any Flyers pairings in 2022 |

You'd be hard-pressed to find a single Sabres fan who is bummed about losing their top minutes 26-yo defenseman. On the contrary, they're dancing in the streets.
You don't find that kinda strange? - Tomahawk
I literally had a sabres fan call me and say it’s the first time in 10 years the sabres made him happy |

Exactly. Adding a scoring winger was never part of the offseason plan IMO. It was always defense. This likely won’t happen…but with the new rule that allows prospects who played 20 AHL games to play in AHL again, I wonder if Foerester sticks with Phantoms and if he’s a potential call-up candidate eventually. Kid has a rocket of a shot. |
