that is your opinion not mine in terms of making the flyers. This year or next. - hello it's me 2050
Correct.
Are you not high on Bobby Brink? My comment was more about him probably choosing to go pro following his Sophomore season which, unfortunately, he didn't really have. Definitely best for him to go back to school. |

If I call chuck fletcher and offer him my stand mixer in the kitchen which is almost like new with the bread hook and juicer attachments, do yo think I can get a first round pick out of him? |

It’s funny that when an offensive dman plays poor defensively, he’s worthless, but when a defensive dman plays poor defensively, it’s fine - PhillySportsGuy
It can only be worse if the offensive defenseman plays poor defense and sucks at offense most of the time. |

Soo assuming risto is resigned and no other moves where does that leave us with coots contract? And if coots resigned that’s it isn’t it there definitely would be no cap left for foreseeable future.
Unless we have a replay of moves like this year right?🤮🤮🤮 - Stayin alive
Just mercifully let Coots and G walk please.

everyone that said dont trade couts shoud be happy that we are trying to get better now. If that pick we just lost is like jay obrien or rubstov, then itll be 4-5 years before they can help us......... if at all. And if you wanted to keep couts, these trades are for you. got rid of our 3 worst players to be better now, tougher to play against |

Why are you worrying about Coots right now?
OMG what happens when Hart's new contract expires, what are they going to do? |

Should I run some stats for you? Do you even pay any attention to how the league views Risto? I am disappointed to see you and Hextall271 essentially join the SHOOT crowd, replacing SHOOT with HIIIIT. Y
ou want to win or you want to hit somebody? Should we bring back Jim Vandermeer? - PT21
ahhhh the stats guy, yesterday you were passing it off as tomahawk is the stats guy

To Vancouver: Voracek, Frost
To Philly: Holtby, 2021 1st rounder
Vancouver is looking for a top 6 forward. They also get a prospect in Frost, with upside but coming over injury.
Flyers get 1 year of Holtby as a 1B goalie and a 2021 first rounder(#9) for tonight
Problem solved.

They should have about $19mil going into next year. That includes Hart, Sanheim and Risto being resigned through next season. No worries about extending Couturier and Giroux if they decide to do so.

I know we're all shocked to give up 13th overall (maybe sillinger or a future NHL goalie) for Risto. Seems weird that we gave up on Myers because of his poor hockey sense despite his size, and then get Risto.
But to change the subject for a minute, I was floored by the draft. I know youth is nice and cheap, but it was pretty overboard on bottom six players. And they are still short on centers. I wonder what Seattle would offer for Laughton. He fits their profile of young cheap and fast, and he is a true center. He doesn't have a no trade clause. I really like Scott, but he disappears for long stretches and I never see him getting above the third line here, and even then not full time. On seattle, I see him as their second line center and thrilled to have him. I wonder if we could actually trade for something truly useful to us instead of these losing trades. |

agree with school. Just don't see him being anything but a 3rd line if that. That's fine as you need those types.

Yup. This roster finally doesn’t have any glaring holes heading into a season for once. G & and company have basically never had that luxury. |

You do realize that owndership brought chuck in to take action and blow up Hextalls draft and wait plan right?
Any thought that risto may be better on a better team with less minutes? It seems like you are in overreaction mode. I put a lot of stock in what Bill says as he’s very knowledgeable and he doesn’t seem to be running to bridge looking to jump. - Hextall271
i keep forgetting about hextalls 12 yr plan

Play Riso, sheltered minutes. If you plan on playing him 20 a night, then these are the results you are going to get.
Since 2013, 68 defenseman have played at least 8,000 5v5 minutes. Where Rasmus Ristolainen ranks among them in:
Goals-For %: 68th
Shots-For%: 68th
Corsi-For%: 68th
Fenwick-For%: 68th
Goals-For/60: 68th
Goals-Against/60: 65th
xGF/60: 68th
xGA/60: 55th
Expected Goals-For%: 68th |
