I think is is so funny... A few years ago when I said it would be decades before the Sabres became competitive everyone here laughed at me..... It seems to me that I am very close to being right...

until they luck into a decent inexperienced gm and coach the sabres will suffer

maybe adams and donnie are the answers

I would rather have a Granato then overpay for an over the hill bum like Krueger

any decent coach wants nothing to do with these owners

- homiedclown

That remains to be seen. Granato had them playing very good hockey, without Jack, without a goalie, without their best defensive Dman.

Wow.

Just read John Vogl's article in The Athletic where he described KA's body language when asked about Eichel's health.

That bridge seems to be nuked, burned, and the ashes scattered.

- gcomella34

Come on John Vogl is now a body language expert? Is this what reporting has become?

Adams body language says Eichel is done with the sabres?

You only got 10 more years to go to be right.

If that is the return, then clearly there was not much demand for Reinhart, which I doubt

Iā€™m hoping this was leaked but KA turned it down. Iā€™d rather keep Sam.

The underwhelming rumored return makes no sense. All the insiders have been saying their is a ton of interest in rhino. So why would adams give him away to a divisional opponent for pennies on the dollar?

Interest is one thing, paying is another. Clearly he had no leverage.with Sam making it known he wants to go out west. His price wouldn't be more at the deadline and you'd risk injury. KA talked to teams for months - clearly there wasn't a team willing to part with premium assets.

Two things seem to be true

- As noted in earlier pages there is less interest in forward rentals. KA didn't become an idiot as the day went on.
- He wants all of this over asap. The body language in his presser last night clearly showed this. Expect Jack to go soon.

I want Sam to stay as well.
He IS the most underrated two way forward in this league!

I'm sick of seeing this franchise develop players just to watch them leave when they are true difference makers.

Jack is under contract for 5 years yet right?
The franchise has the power, not him.
If you don't get the proper value for a player like Jack?
You keep him.
Tough for him!!
He signed the contract.
Honor it or retire.

I'm sick of these players crying like babies, throwing a temper tantrum and then getting their way.
The Sabres have the power.
I certainly hope that they intend on using it properly.
This franchise's fanbase has suffered long enough.
Screw Jack's feelings!!

Sorry....I'll see myself out.šŸ˜”

Iā€™m headed to a cabin until tomorrow morning but Iā€™ll leave you with this. My early morning feel is that Frank Vatrano may be the final piece in the Reinhart trade.

Sorry if thatā€™s already out there I havenā€™t looked at my phone this morning.

Good luck today folks āœŒšŸ»

He was wrong as usual.
