We don't know what Sam and his agent want, where he wants to be, and at the end of the day still isn't under contract.

Agreed100% some had Raty at #1 overall preseason then he had a bad season. Pinelli would be great too. Still wish we took Wally at 13 though analytics never have you taking a goalie that high

We’ll make a trade if we get good value and we think it’ll help the Sabres going forward.” Only get Levi and a conditional 1st doesn’t seem to fall into this category…..hoping there’s another piece? The best thing that can happen is they put in a clause that the NHL said you can no longer do, try again. Teams find out about said trade and call Buffalo saying we can beat that.

I just don’t see how a place you’d almost be certain Sam would resign, out west, could beat a team in division with a better deal.

One list I looked at didn’t even have this goalie in the top 15 pipeline goalies.
