While we wait, who we got tomorrow? Raty is still available. Could be a good snag for sure |

Played the whole tourney with a cracked/broken rib, too. Happened in first game and he kept it quiet because he wasn’t losing his opportunity that he fought for. He was like their third goalie when team got together, long shot to even make team, and he won the net over much more highly rated prospects. - Ratsreign
So the kid was the 3rd rated goal on a junior hockey team and then had a miracle run and overcame the odds to play amazing in the junior tournament Call me a cynic but this sounds like the crap that Buffalo gms and coaches drool over instead of actual career potential....
Barely a 7th round pick and barely 6ft.. It's clear he does not fit the mode of a modern goalie. |

From the sound of it that would be the pick everyone would be happy with so there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that’s who it will be. |

My favorite part of today is that we took Jack Quinn instead of guys that are untouchable like Rossi and Lundell

I'm not touching Raty with the year he had.
For me, Stankoven, Pastujov, or get crazy and go Scott Morrow. |

Panthers have probably the best goalie prospect in the league all ready to go... You think losing a kid 4-6 years from starting in the NHL at BEST is a skin off their backs?? This is the best you could do Adams?! |

I knew today was too good to be true
They’re still such a god damn mess
I’m terrified of the Eichel return now |

In his press conference Adams clearly said he won’t trade players unless the return makes sense for the future of the team.
If it’s only Levi and a late 1st next year it would contradict everything he said. There simply has to be another piece |

To be fair Sam is an RFA with arb rights so his value wouldn't be as high as if he was signed already - I'd assume |

Vatrano has one year left on his deal and was rumored (briefly) to be traded to the Krakers. Maybe he’ll be included. Luostarinen is a C that showed some promise earlier this season, he seemed to hit a wall towards the end of the year though, and he didn’t play much after Bennett arrived. Levi and a pick doesn’t seem enough for Buffalo to do this, idk. |

No, he doesn’t. But fwiw, most scouts said if he was 6’3” he’d have gone first round. The kid is a battler and can play. |

Chad D just said he can’t confirm if there’s a 3rd piece in the deal but he can confirm that Lundell IS NOT part of the deal.
Please please please have a decent 3Rd piece and not undue all the good that has been done today

Thankfully they took Power instead of Berniers because in six years even if he sucks they'll be able to get a kings ramsom |

Think with them getting a goalie, this would be the best play? - SDSabre
Well, I'm choosing to believe the league nixed that deal based on an ineligible condition and then maybe they'll rethink the entire affair.
Also, that's it for me. Enjoy #sabresafterdark, boys |

Pathetic Sabres.. Somehow get a better return for Risto than the 11th goal scorer in the league - bluengold12
Yeah, who saw this coming 🙄 |

No offense and I appreciate you coming on to provide us some knowledge, but I'm infuriated with this return.. I think you can understand why.. I'm sure most Panthers fans weren't even thinking about this kid with Knight ready to break out... |

Chad said the third piece he hasn't confirmed yet but it isn't anything that will make this better for us.... |

I have no idea why they only killed that condition when they still allow all the others - Wetbandit1
I get why the NHLPA would have an issue with that one. They may have killed it.

To sum up the day...
We trade Risto for an excellent return, then draft a kid who has some potential but only flashed in the world juniors, over a few other options
Then we trade Reinhart in the division for a 7th round goalie who played in the CCHL and then did well in the world juniors and a conditional 1st round pick which will likely be 25th ish
It's clear the Sabres scouting staff only watched the world juniors and the world championships then just said (frank) it to the rest - bluengold12
Or maybe Sabres fans under appreciated risto and over appreciated sam.
Mostly people who just watch what the tv shows them
Big tv or not |
