Multiple teams offering 1st round picks for risto š - Boss34
And thatās great that they were. That does not mean that Risto doesnāt suck.
KAGM though Eakin was good last offseason too, how did that work out ? |

Golden Knights haven't been mentioned yet with regards to Eichel.
They could be the dark horse here. - sabresfan69
Vegas has been talked about, just not a lot
They donāt have the great young pieces to keep up with the other teams we talk about more
Krebs just wonāt be enough
And their 1sts would presumable be at the bottom of the round in future years
Maybe if they added Tuch it gets interestingā¦.
but what else do they throw in??? |

I thought defenseman are suppose to play defense? How many of those are PP points. Actually would love to know. He did have some heavy point first few years - ZiggyBuff
Yes, statistics.
The statistics showing him 19th in scoring by defenseman over the past 6 years.
How can you say that the stats are agaisnt him?

The Borgen superfans can head to Seattle then
And the crybabies still upset we lost Kahun can follow him wherever since EDM doesnāt want him back |

Oh. I get itā¦. Still very uneasy. I just donāt want Jack in the east and certainly NOT in NY.
I donāt like what they have and it feels like giving Jack exactly what he wants (other than Boston, which f Boston harder)ā¦

Yes Boss. I am smarter than Fletcher, trying knowing his name.
I would have never done such a bonehead trade. And go look on social media, people want him fired for the trade - Mentalorgasm5
I'll be trying knowing his name, smart guy.

per Scott Wheeler
1. Nils Hƶglander, LW, 20 (Rƶgle BK/Vancouver Canucks)
Iāve taken some heat from Canucks fans for being slightly higher on Hƶglander than Podkolzin, especially in the early days after the draft when most were enamoured with Podkolzin (even though I had Hƶglander ranked higher before the Canucks ever picked the two of them). So I canāt lie: It has been fun to watch Hƶglander get some shine (or at least more) recently. Heās a fun, entertaining player. When he has the puck, heās got a skill set that can crack up a shift in a split second. He possesses an impressive ability to stop and start to change pace or directions with control. Heās got high-end hands that allow him to play through sticks and make things happen around the crease. And when he doesnāt have the puck, heās a feisty, energetic 5-foot-9 winger who plays bigger than he is, stays on the puck, finishes his checks, and gets up and under sticks to win back possession. Though he lacks a separation gear in transition as a skater, the rest of his game is enough to warrant a second-line projection and power play use. - Leninthebuff

Rasmus Ristolainen told Timo Kunnari that āhe will not show his ass towards Buffaloā He loved the city and has great friends there. Felt he was part of the reason they lost a lot. And now excited as hell to join the Flyers |

The Buffalo Sabres club the Philadelphia Flyers in trade, Sabres fans club each other.
For reals, it's not like we don't know where everyone stands on Risto specifically, and most players in general. I'm much more interested in getting Hank to do the blog about secondary players he promised if we got another first. Where you at Hank? I need me some Lysell talk. |

Yep
Also, NyR didnāt get much at all back for Buchnevich
Especially considering what a good season he had last year
That eliminates any chance NyR gets Jackā¦.
Unless they include some of the guys they keep saying are off limits
Iām ok with that
Never really liked the NyR prospects/kids anyways |

Take the L
"Worst defenseman in the league"
13th OA, 2nd rounder and a nhl 6th defenseman with grit.

I never said to not protect Risto for the purposes of a trade.
Would I have liked to have kept Borgen ? Yes he would have been a great replacement for 1/5th the cost.
The Sabres lost a perfectly good d-man for no reason apart from the fact they didnāt trade Risto for the past 3 offseasons
Would you admit that is the case ? Probably not

The Risto trade makes Borgen expendable. |
