Clubs with interest offering 1st round picks were informed earlier their pick wasn’t high enough. Picks in the top 20, hence Philly was the right fit.

Multiple gms not as smart as 24, mental and thatguy?

You don't say?

Has anyone heard much on Reinhart? That has been quiet, too quiet.
- GilPerreault11

Anahiem is what I heard.

3OA for sam

Now it could be 13OA and sam?

Golden Knights haven't been mentioned yet with regards to Eichel.

They could be the dark horse here.

Apparently philly giving up a package 99.9% of fans thinks is absolutely terrible now means Risto is good.

Solid post!
Add in horrible Analytics (science) and piss poor eye test!

So glad they fleeced another GM to get a 1st and 2nd.

I'm ecstatic about the trade.
GET THE F OUT RISTO, don't let the door hit ya!

there are many that think Risto is going to come in and play great for them.
- ImThatGuy

It may happen. The key was to get a return that was good enough even if he does play well elsewhere. KA did that.

There is no way to deny the thought of Risto being bad at defense. Every stat shows he is bad and even the eye test.

We won a trade. EXTREMELY HAPPY

- ZiggyBuff

There was a large anti-viking55 contigent out there who said he was worth a 3rd rounder. A very large contingent who were extremely unhappy that Viking55 was protected over Borgen.

All wrong.

Paul Hamilton was just saying that Dreger said the same thing and how that sometimes means something's in the works. Hoping. Really interested in seeing the return for him.

Seriously, a defenseman with 240+ points in 500 games.

Those are stats ziggy

Why are you ignoring that?

- Boss34

I thought defenseman are suppose to play defense? How many of those are PP points. Actually would love to know. He did have some heavy point first few years

Are u one of the posters here that’s been talking about Hoglander?
Idk much about him- got a scouting report for me?
What is it that u like about him?

- jdfitz77

per Scott Wheeler

1. Nils Höglander, LW, 20 (Rögle BK/Vancouver Canucks)

I’ve taken some heat from Canucks fans for being slightly higher on Höglander than Podkolzin, especially in the early days after the draft when most were enamoured with Podkolzin (even though I had Höglander ranked higher before the Canucks ever picked the two of them). So I can’t lie: It has been fun to watch Höglander get some shine (or at least more) recently. He’s a fun, entertaining player. When he has the puck, he’s got a skill set that can crack up a shift in a split second. He possesses an impressive ability to stop and start to change pace or directions with control. He’s got high-end hands that allow him to play through sticks and make things happen around the crease. And when he doesn’t have the puck, he’s a feisty, energetic 5-foot-9 winger who plays bigger than he is, stays on the puck, finishes his checks, and gets up and under sticks to win back possession. Though he lacks a separation gear in transition as a skater, the rest of his game is enough to warrant a second-line projection and power play use.

Isn't this one of the "main" pieces Rangers fans had in an Eichel trade
