I am hearing Seattle has had discussions with Buffalo about Eichel. They are willing to give the #2 pick to get this done. Not enough though. The Question is what else do the Kraken have? If Seattle were to offer up THIS year's first-round pick and NEXT year's first-round pick, along with Goalie Vitek Vanecek for Eichel, should the Sabres take the deal? Should Seattle make that offer?

Well I don't think we need to be, but a lot of people think we will be horrible again next year, and can't see Seattle being much better, two high draft picks next year would help and say Dunn is included he is only 23 or 24 so he meets the time line and Vanecek would be a perfect 1B with starting potential. It's not the greatest deal but it's definitely not the worst I have seen out there.

Technically, yes, Eichel can come back, but that's not the distraction that anyone wants. Not one single time has Jack, the team or his agent ever confirmed not only Jack's interest in returning, but the team interested in building around him.

Objectively, it is a foregone conclusion that he won't return. If he's in the blue and gold come October, something went seriously wrong.
