You want to compete in the NHL you need some nasty, especially required in playoffs. I would like some speed and toughness checking added to bottom six plus a Sillinger. This is close to happening.

To me....Jones > boqvist......and we can watch how that plays out over the next 9 years.

Pick wise....see who columbus takes in those spots vs Hawks 32nd.....

And.....see if Bowman starts flipping some depth players for mid round picks.

IMO.....boqvist was never going to hit his ceiling for what he was hyped as. So IMO...Bowman did a great job selling high on Boqvist.

But did he look Zadorov terrible?

An acceptable deal. Bunch of maybe traded for a proven NHL player who is an exceptional athlete in the prime of his physical abilities.

Rebuilding teams should not be in the business of trading first round picks. If Stan added a second 1st round pick, that is inexcusable IMO.

Adding Jones and getting Toews back (hopefully) and a full season of Dach. Seems like some nice additions.

All the youngsters should improve too no? Full training camp, etc. Rosters always look better when you can slot guys down a line.

Come on now...there’s so many examples of a true #1 defenseman having a year or 2 that’s not consistent with the rest of his career, any elite position player for that matter. He didn’t forget how to play hockey. I just don’t get how people think he’s terrible!
