If he can play center sign me up - TPC
Landeskog already has alot of miles on him. No way we can pay him, Fox, and Zibby, and hope to sign other guys coming of ELCs. If we get a big name, then Zib has to be traded...right?

fox's numbers been set w/ marker and jones signed. god knows what hamilton will get on the open market.
ps - the thought of buch signing a 1 or 2yr deal and getting traded back into our division might literally make me sick |

Apparently he takes a decent amount of draws.
I am more concerned about what he might look like away from his current team. - JRR1285
Wasn't he named captain before they got MacKinnon and Makar? |

He was named captain in his first year. His stats didn't start to explode until Mac arrived |

I would expect similar results pairing him with Panarin and Kakko or Kratvtsov |

Dallas had initially set the bar for Makar and Fox last weekend when re-signing Heiskanen to his 8 year/$8.45 AAV deal, for a combined $67.6M in total.
Yesterday, Seth Jones came very close at 8 years/$8.25M AAV, ($66M total).
*(Note: The detail amounts on the line above are incorrect as taken from Jan's "UPDATED" comment @ 7:14 PM here on Friday, for Seth Jones extension numbers. But I learned when researching Chicago's cap data late Saturday night, that Jan's initial reply to me on Friday @ 7:01 PM actually had the correct figures in the first place; as I corrected per my later line edit below.)
*Edit:
Seth Jones (dealt Fri. & extended by CHI) 7 years/$9.5M AAV ($66.5M total).
Today, Makar a $9M AAV, but for 2 years less in a 6 year term, ($54M total).
Next, our Norris Trophy winner Adam Fox will most deservedly receive up to a $10M AAV/8 years.
Fox deserves in comparison to those three: 8 years/$72M to $80M total deal.
In addition, Trouba is earning $8M for each of the 5 next seasons.
Don't expect this time under today's environment, to see once again another McDonagh like 33% minimum discount given the Rangers as he did then. |

So I guess it's unlikely to see the Rangers in the second round. |

Ya never know. Fox is a lifetime NYR fan, and he understands all of the young talent and future of this team. He might just be willing to take a bit less to help ensure a good financial future for this team. Not counting on it, but if anyone will take a hometown discount it might be Fox |

I agree rentz, that Fox may give his lifetime favorite Rangers team a small discount. But I don't think it would be at least a 33% discount like McDonagh agreed to, when signing back then at an AAV of about $4.7M long term.
McDonagh could have easily earned back then if opting for free agency, an average of $6.5M to $7.5M/year. |
