I await your answers Jim; and also hope the "Oh My God" replier "JRR..." learns how to read in order to make it through Grade 1 initially of 8, along with hopes of graduating 12th, or when fully maturing, a possible 16 total years of education; the latter if he can especially afford the costs of those final 4 years, despite most of it paid through the usage of College tuition aid.

Absolutely not the right way to think about it, but at least they drafted Buch in the 3rd and got a 2nd for him…plus a role player in Blais

I didn’t get to read the reactions to Blais. Can someone other than Saver help catch me up?

I had a different response but I think I misunderstood you at first so I deleted it.

I think this is another element to look at though.

Buch while seemingly coming into his own this season might have peaked this year. I am sure his PK prowess and other intangibles won't wane but you could definitely see his point production come back down to earth. Especially on a different team.

I have not seen this classic movie yet. Mel Brooks right?
- JRR1285

Oh, man!! So classic. And so offside you might have trouble finding it these days.

Not to mention the fact that you HAVE to give more ice time to Kakko and Kravs if they’re ever going to turn into the players they’re expected to be.

Pretty bold statement, Saver, when you write like you never seen a school...

I have no trouble reading, I am actually quite adept at it. I just don't see the point of having a 4 paragraph post when one would suffice.

Saver, some of your posts are great. Others? Not so much, but I do usually read them all.

Or he finally figured it out last year and is about to become a really good 2 way winger for the long haul

That too. If that scenario plays out it will definitely hurt. But I want to see what Kakko and Laf can do. They were top prospects in their respective drafts for a reason.

Agree, that’s the move we need to see to get everyone to chill the (frank) out. The Buch return sucked, but reality is Drury took the best offer out there. Why wouldn’t he have? Trade deadline was the time to coup a 1st rounder +. Think everyone is going to really like Blais too.
- TC88

So then sign him to a 1 year deal as a RFA and trade him at the deadline this year for a 1st+

No doubt, but now it’s on Kakko to be an even better two way winger for the longer haul.

I’m bummed the return wasn’t bigger, but it is what it is. Hopefully Blais plays an impact role player game and they use the second to draft the next Bergeron.

I am fine as long as the plan ends with us getting a center for the top 6

This is what I come back to. Why not just do this?

He could get hurt and not be an option for a trade. Then they essentially lose him for nothing.

I think the return is underwhelming but it's still something.

People are acting like the Rangers let Tavares get to FA.

If we we’re trying to get a RFA like Buch and it cost us Mason Gertsssen and a 2nd round pick last year we’d be saying wtf were they thinking. U can tell right off the bat when a trade is going to be good or bad usually and this one sucks.
