I'd 100% want to speak to the agent/player before making any trade, teams usually allow that. if they don't then that's a red flag that the guy either doesn't want to play for you or is a pending UFA who wants to hit the open market.

Something along those lines. Unlikely that all would happen. I like Rhino just not the timing. Rather a Risto trade Schmidt straight up or very close. RHD needs the most attention & shuffling the LHD is doable. Hamonic or another good defensive big D still needed fir 3rd pairing to compliment Rathbone or OJ.

He had a decent statistical season last year. I watched Arizona a couple times but I couldn't tell you what his game is like anymore.

He did play 749 minutes with Jacob Chychrun. They seem to have done quite well considering.

Van doesn't really have a 6'2" 210 stud TWD for him to play with though.

Maybe he could help OJ out.
