Not too shaby.
Moving Schmidt and/or Holtby free's up some more salary for a UFA i suppose.
Just refreshing to not see LE, Rousel, Beagle in the mix.
Is Garland really a 5m/yr player, i know nothing about him. - dbot
That Landy deal is going to have to be very very very team friendly. |

i agree with mini on this. without last year's first and the picks given this year, if the team doesn't win soon, there could be a shortage of higher end prospects in 3ish years and those guys are the cap savings guys. - RealityChecker
Remember how the Benning slurpers used the excuse that Gillis left Benning no prospects when he first started, thus why it's taken 7+ years..
Look at our cupboards now, with no 1st this year, or no 2nd next year, and the poor bastard GM who takes his place after next season lol

I just canceled all sports channels, they asked if I would be renewing when hockey starts back up, I said, let's just say, indefinitely. - Reubenkincade
Hahah.
You do know the team is going to be better and far more entertaining next season right?
Sure he sold the future, but cancel the packages when the re-rebuilt begins lol. |

He's a top 6 scoring guy, good possesion numbers, but undersized and can get pushed around a bit. 39 points in 49 games this year. |

Yeah there's a void for sure. Especially since a couple of our top 10 picks haven't worked out although there's still some hope for OJ I guess.
The bright side is we have very few players that are even 30 years old on our roster, and none of them are forwards. |

That’s the trade off.
So is Garland a legit good top 6 add?
Is OEL better for a change of scenery? |

Yeah, Garland is a legit top 6 forward, it's troubling that he doesn't have a contract though. The crux of this whole thing is how well OEL plays. - NorthNuck
Absolutely! Here's hoping his knee is 200% better than last year. |

It's all your fault.
I didn't want to agree with you, but suspected something like this was going to happen.
Picks are highly overrated for a contending team, anyways. - Reubenkincade
Could see it coming miles away
It was either going to be the three cap dumps and a first or Schmidt and Loui . You knew Garland had to be the sweetner.

Sounds like a good match for Bo and Pearson then.
JB said he wanted 2 top 9 players and a top 4 Dman.

Early rough roster more to come - Nighthawk
20 man roster without enough cap space to call anyone up if there is a short term injury. |

Holtby Jake and Schmidt is another 12 mil.

Doing the same thing as gillis but at least he can still draft.
3 or 4 prospects have got to take large steps forward this year otherwise all these picks he is trading away is going to hurt sooner or later.
Especially since he is not capable of getting any back ever. |

as one of the real fans said, the next gm can worry about it. but then we'll still have to blame mg though. |
