What I love best about these charts is how very few people actually look at them.

To an extent. It shows deployment/pairing in their, so the defensive numbers will surely be lower if they play more minutes and are on the first pair.

Regardless, risto is not a good defensive defenseman. People are obsessed with big physical defenseman, but surely we can get chill oir b0ners on one's who aren't good defensively, and focus on big physical defenders who can actually defend (McCabe, Manson, Cernak, and to a lesser extent even nemeth). They can be big and physical which is great, but the canucks can't lose site of the fact that they need to actually play defense, which was a learning lesson with the gudbranson trade.

Getting much of anything for Nate is dreaming. His stock all time low.

Just like Seattle taking Holtby. A guy who was trending down hard when caps cut anchor and then massively confirmed that trend last year by posting an almost 4.00 G.A.A.

It's like folks (media too) think there is another Benning out that there that will get teams out of cap trouble like he did with tbay and vegas. We have the one benning.

Also, think how mad JT must be. Missed out on two cups. JB throwing TBay a life raft on that trade is one of the main reasons why they could keep that group together for a couple more years and win those cups.

Looks like the Flames are in on Coleman, not sure they'll be any room for Sutter.
