Don't worry we still have time today to get rid of a first and a second.

Would become the top RHD on this team and play heavy minutes.

What I find funny is the fanbase is wanting Benning to trade his top pair D man that he paid a third round pick for so we can get a top pair D man that we can overpay for.

This team needs a Toffoli & Tanev type players, now if we kept them & added a nice D-man, then I would get excited to watch games.

Drafting 5 wingers and 1 offensive defencemen and 1 C who is 5'8" who probably won't be an nhl centre

Doesn't really fit any team need at all.

- manvanfan

Fair enough, I care less about need and more about general talent.

Depends on if he actually wants to be here. If he does, entertain offers if you want, nobody is untouchable. If he wants out, well you trade him and get the best deal you can. If Risto gets a 1st, 2nd, and Hagg....

Good deal for Buffalo. They are going to rebuild that lineup this draft.

Deal him only if it benefits the team.

What does Schmidt go for if Risto gets you a 1st, 2nd and nhl 3rd pairing D-man? Any chance a late first gets thrown at them? seems like a sellers market and realistically the Canucks can't make any big steps until LE, Rous, Holtby, and beagle are off the books so might as well sell in a good market

With his showing at the World championships, he proved that he will be a fine #1 defenseman.

I agree, I think he'll be a solid top pairing guy. Even the vets there were talking about how he didn't seem like a kid about to get drafted at all with how much poise he showed.
