Seth Jones? - Fakepartofme
Looks like he's going to Chicago, now all Bowman has to do is borrow Hossa's jock strap and give it to Toews and they are in excellent shape.
According to several sources, Chicago and Columbus are taking another run at a Seth Jones trade. During the first attempt, the Blue Jackets discussed Kirby Dach or Alex DeBrincat as the centrepiece, but it wasn’t something the Blackhawks wished to do.
What the two teams are trying to do is find common ground without including either of them; finding another mix of Chicago’s young players, prospects and high draft picks. (The Blackhawks are scheduled to select 12th in the first round.) It is believed they are one of the teams that could secure a long-term commitment from Jones.

Not exactly - he scouted for the Flyers, while on LTIR, when his contract expired he took a paid position with the Panthers. - winsix
NEW YORK, N.Y. - The NHL has hired former Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Chris Pronger to work in its department of player safety.
Pronger's career was ended by post-concussion symptoms that forced him out of the game three seasons ago.
The 39-year-old is still on the Flyers' roster. He's on long-term injured reserve so that the team wouldn't have his cap hit of almost US$5 million count while he wasn't playing.

Still don't think it gets done.
Chicago gotta give up the moon for a guy they could wait a year on and talk to as a UFA. - joel878
Not exactly, Jones can negotiate a new deal with the team that has his rights. His deal expires after this year and he has told Columbus to (frank) off. If you read my early quote from Friedman's blog, Chicago is one of the teams he is willing to discuss an extension with. That would certainly be part of the deal.
Earlier this summer, the Blackhawks captain revealed on his social media that he missed the 2020-21 campaign with chronic immune response syndrome. He's back in Chicago and training for the upcoming season, and the goal is to be ready for the season opener.

Yes, Toews acknowledges, he’s probably a COVID long-hauler, having had all the telltale signs of a particularly nasty bout with COVID-19 back in February 2020, before the pandemic had consumed life in the United States.
COVID-19 was the likely catalyst, but the cumulative effect of 943 regular-season games, 137 playoff games, countless practices and training sessions, and the heavy, grinding style with which he plays is what cost him essentially a year of his life.

Guess he won’t be going on LTIR for a little while longer.
