It's traditional, but yeah this year would've been the one where it's meaningful to have Toronto open against Detroit for example. - Zezel
I know it is, but you get the idea as you suggested it should be something else along those lines. Or against Boston or Buffalo or something. If not for just this year. |

I don’t understand the all Canadian matchups after a full year of it

I'm sick of it. |

Yeah, welcome some old friends, reunion of the US and Canadian sides, it would be full of significance. |

Your nation has stagnated in full vaccinations.
The safe move is to stay in Canada. |

I got out golfing for the first time since the fall of 2019 tonight. I don’t drive, so I usually meet a friend at a train stop close by a course we play at and that obviously wasn’t an option mid pandemic.
I did better than I thought considering I hadn’t hit one god damn ball in that stretch. First drive was straight and played the hole pretty well. I thought hey, maybe I forgot some bad habits! They came back, but it was a good damn time. I’ve been putting off going because I was worried I’d be that bad and have even found it hard to just readjust to normal life after this whole ordeal.
Anyways, if you’re in a similar boat with whatever sport, activity, or whatever you’re looking to do, just get out of your own head and go do it
Glad I did, finally. |

I took the T for the first time today and maybe 5 to 10% of people didn’t have masks on. I guarantee they’re the same idiots that aren’t vaccinated. I was pretty irritated and just generally annoyed with the stupidity, but it really wouldn’t have done me any good to say anything. |

Ok - but I don't have control over that.
I get grumpy after Leaf losses and failures. But I eventually revert back to controlled optimism.
If I ever become permanently cynical regarding the Leafs I'd probably just find something different to follow. I know Leaf "fans" who are permanently cynical. They don't even get happy when the Leafs win.
What is the reason for even watching and following at that point? - Leafs43
I know a few of these as well, they fall into the category of 'love to hate' fans.
They're addicted to negativity and disappointment. |

From the tweeter.
:Interesting to see an article in the Athletic today talking about how the Leafs wanted Sebastion Aho and Hunter went with Dermott, then next year they drafted for size and role players and so passed on Debrincat.
So.......go Leafs?" |

I’ve grown up and always have lived in the city. I should change that and have plans to. The pandemic with no license was the first time in my life when I thought to myself, I need a license. Not once before that was it a hindrance to my life in anyway. |

In Massachusetts we have IDs that look like licenses, but just say ID. I just assumed that was the case everywhere. |

That is one thing I agree with Dubas on. Draft skating and skill first. Easier to get size and definitely easier to find role players in free agency or trade.

It’s pretty wild to me that the size bias still exists in drafting NHL talent. If all else is equal, than yeah of course, pick the bigger guy, but it’s never that simple. I thought Caufield should’ve gone higher and I think his size is the only reason he didn’t. |

It's really weird to me too. All you hear is how a team needs more scoring, more skill, etc. Yet they shy away from drafting it....
