Would love to see them move up for one of these D men but I’m not sure how they do it without moving a future 1st. Frost, York, Foerster untouchables obviously

Or at least they should be. I am really looking forward to seeing what we got in these 3 players. To me this is Frost's year to shine, if he does not, he is a bust. York is a defenseman so I think he deserves more time to evaluate. I liked what I saw from Foerster last year in the AHL, lets hope he can continue putting up points but more importantly stay healthy so he can continue his development. The Flyers desperately need a player like Foerster in their lineup, i.e. a player with a great shot that has a shoot first mentality.

Here is why Ghost had to go- The coaching staff was never going to give him a fair shot. They did not like him for whatever reason. He never got the benefit of the doubt the others did. Had the coach played to his strengths maybe it would have worked out differently. Though when you have a Hagg on your team no need to play ghost.

So that is why imo they had to move him.

I think Ghost more than deserved the scrutiny he got from the coaching staff. Look, the bottom line is these Flyers are SOFT, all CAPS SOFT! They need defenseman that make the other team pay for going into the corners or wading into the crease, and right now the Flyers have ZERO. Morin is a good player for this and only this reason. I think the Flyers need a solid top 4 D for their second pairing that is first and foremost tough and sound defensively. Ghost is one of the worst defenders I have ever seen, he just does not have the size and strength to defend the slot area and make the other team pay the price. We can do much better than him for that cap hit IMO. Hello Savard or a player like that.

I get what your saying though disagree only for the fact smart GM's look beyond that. The fact not one seemed really interested tells me his value would have stayed the same unless he just killed it.

I have no issue giving up the pick (not ideal) as peeps put way to much value on NHL picks outside the 1st rd. Just need to pick your spot when giving it up.

I wont be shocked to hear some negative stuff about Ghost come out either.

I am ok with the pick and the move. I think the whole fit of the D was the issue. I do think the flat cap is the biggest issue. Really the perfect storm. Leadership owns the FIT on D, so they own what happen to ghost, leaders need to own it.

Missed a lot of time this season with a knee injury. Missed the World Under 18 Tournament as well. Lacks pace in his game and not active at all defensively. Has skating issues. He does have some slick hands though and a nice shot.

If you are referring to Myers or Patrick, any criticism of them had absolutely NOTHING to do with Covid. I know when players have the goods and when they don't, and these two players IMO don't have the goods and were the worst two players on the Flyers last year, and that is saying something because there was a lot of badness to choose from. Going into last season I am sure you will recall I was very critical of both Patrick and Myers, and you killed me for it. But in the end, Fletcher saw what I saw and they are both gone. As for Hart, he could have played better, no doubt about it, but he was more impacted by the continuous bad, and at times comical, play in front of him. I am banking on Hart rebounding because 1. I think he has the goods and 2. the play in front of him will be much improved.

Thank you for proving my point.

I never killed you for criticism of Patrick.
